sdre Posted Monday at 00:12 Report Share Posted Monday at 00:12 I was playing on my PC and the power went out. Is there a way to recover the game? It appears in the history, but it doesn't appear in saved games.

Seleucids Posted Monday at 11:49 Report Share Posted Monday at 11:49 The saved games exist as .dat files and replays exist as .txt full of commands. The question is if we can construct a .dat file from the partial replay

The savegame can be loaded then in the multiplayer lobby. However, in that situation it's impossible to assign AIs to the slots, just players. This little but useful feature is still missing.
sdre Posted Tuesday at 10:46 Author Report Share Posted Tuesday at 10:46 (edited) Thanks for the suggestions, I was able to solve the problem with them. I simply saved the game from the replay menu, then unzipped "savegame-0002.0adsave" and edited "metadata.json" to change "playerID" to 1, then rezipped (from Linux). Thanks to everyone, and thanks to the illustrious developers for the game. Edited Tuesday at 10:48 by sdre
