The only thing about the death penalty compare to prison for life, its basically the same thing. Imagine the horror of an innocent man being sentenced for life. Do we abolish life sentences? I don't know. I am no judge of lives. What about CP for the cases that are beyond a shadow of a doubt, beyond all dispute? That's kinda like divorce, in a reverse way. I don't like divorce, but the Bible does advocate it under certain circumstances.
In Anton Chekov's short story "The Bet" a lawyer and a banker make a wager about a life sentence. The lawyer says that he will last 15 years of voluntary imprisonment, whereas the banker disagrees. The lawyer spends 15 years in solitary, with the only communication he has monitored by the banker, who is very kind, supplying the lawyer with an abundance of texts, music, and nourishment.
The moral was that the lawyer had learned much in solitary, but prison in real life is nothing like that. It is horrible, maybe worse than death. I think we ought to have the convicted choose how to go: CP or Life in Prison. CP is more cost-effective, IMO. But there is the case of a man recently acquitted of LP (life in prison) with DNA evidence so CP may be a rather hasty option.

Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Soryu, and Kaoru Nagisa are from the same Anime.
The other stuff were red cards from MTG.
