  1. This whole thread is spam. If I were a mod I'd lock it. That's probably why I'm not a mod.
  2. and a "put out fire" option on villagers? I just thought something like how mortars fell trees in WCIII by attacking them. that reminds me... Are there going to be seasons? Like in winter, you can't farm or something like that
  3. All right, let's get back on topic. The english Subjunctive: this verb tense is nearly extinct in english, but in other languages it's used fairly often. example of the Subjunctive: If I WERE you, I'd eat that souffle now.
  4. Perhaps David needs to correspond with the (unfortunately) deceased Charles Dodgson (A.k.a Lewis Carroll) He wrote letters backwards! Lastname Firstname Sincerely blah blah blah Sue Aunt Dear get it?
  5. Great minds think alike, mon ami. Reclining against a wall.
  6. Best language ever: Latin! Nobody ever speaks in it, just songs and techno-babble.
  7. What if you want to play scorched-earth style, as to deprive your enemies of resources? (Like Alexander I did to Napoleon)
  8. And one thing we're not professionals at is spelling. why does everybody spell it proffessionals? I deem myself frenetic spelling corrector.
  9. Bah!! I got the questions mixed up. She took the elephant out of the fridge and rode on it. W/e... The important part is that there was an animal in the fridge to ride on.
  10. Regrowing trees sounds like a good idea. Considering the time frame, training units would probably have taken a few years at least Trees take about 30 years to grow. So the regrow time would be about 30 times of an average unit's training time
  11. A friend of mine came up with another solution to the last question, one that is somewhat humorous: She took the giraffe and rode it across the stream. A bit long-winded, I suppose, but really... Let's share our clever answers!!
  12. Buildings ought not move: If I recall properly, the huns' yurts were movable, but those can be made into supplier units, like Overlords from SC. Moving buildings has some flavor issues, in my opinion.
  13. I'm afraid you misunderstand, mon ami. I just learned hte power rule when I first brushed up on calc, in about sixth grade, as in it was the only thing I knew to use. Right now in Calc we're doing exponential functions and solving differentual equations that involve exponents and logs and separation of variables.
  14. In SC, the buildings counted as units, but didn't take up psi (pop). However, the map could only hold a max of 1600 units. In 4v4s, people occasionally surrounded their bases with about... 200-400 defense structures (photon cannons, missile turrets, colonies, etc..) and zerg players would typically, in the $$ hacked map, have at least 20 hatcheries, producing 3 larvae each, so that's another 80 units. Typically these games would end up overloading the map, even before psi limits (pop caps) were reached. So set a map limit and a pop cap, since buildings can be complex too.
  15. What about army sizes in the game? Starcraft, AOK, AOM, etc... had ridiculous army sizes, so the graphics were made smaller and less detailed to reduce in-game latency. WCIII uses ridiculously high-detail models, but the armies are small, changing the gameplay significantly. As you can see, army size is an important facet of the game.
  16. Of course! That way you'd have more control over What's available on the map. In addition, settlement sites from AOM were a bad idea, as that severely limited where one could establish towns. And upkeep penalties from WCIII are definitely a good idea.
  17. As was my idea. Plus, the whole asterisk and ::Ikickyourmomsbutt:: thing annoys the heck out of me The thing with the First Person Past is that it ought to be a retelling, even if the Character does end up dying.
  18. resource deposits should be destructible
  19. Many forums have these, where people bored out of their minds roleplay. I wish to request one separate from the Fun and Games, to emphasize that the post content ought to be different. If there are RPG's, the posting needs to be long and story-like, with at least five long lines for each post. And the people will type in the First person past, no bunny hopping, etc. Asterisks and other IM symbols will not be used. Is there anything wrong with this proposal?
  20. I missed number two. So i guess i'm not good at knowing the repurcussions of my actions. Good at other things though.
  21. I knew derivatives before precalc... and most algebra. Just learned the power rule : N*X^(N-1) Of course, it helps understanding how that works, too.
  22. Yes, quite addicted to WCIII right now.
