  1. She's bound to have seen previews of the movies, or some hints leading towards them. I myself voted for the STORY sequence. Even though, like yourself, I've seen them countless times (and have them more or less memorized). :) I believe I saw them first when I was with my aunt and was very little. The first time I saw a Star Destroyer... whooo. Well, a loyal Imperial from than and on. :)(y)

  2. Well, Paul already did an article on history vs. gameplay. This might be an interesting read for you.

    History vs. Gameplay

If you read through the historical library on the 0 A.D. webpage as well pertaining to each of the civilizations, and look down to the 'works cited', you can see what sources the authors of the articles used as well.

Here is a link to the history section:

    Hope this helps somewhat. :)

  3. Ok Folks... today I had some problem with Photoshop I'd like to share with you. Hopefully someone from the WFG staff who uses Photoshop will be able to answer this and help me solve the problem.

    Here we go...

    1) I opened Photoshop CS2, and than went to open a file I was working on for a Photoshop Tutorial Class

    2) I selected the file and than clicked open. The error message: "This application has failed to start because DLBCGF.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

    3) I first repaired Photoshop, and than I tryed it. Got the same error.

    4) I than uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop and got the same error.

    5) I went to google and did a search and found this site on the same topic: Archive Forum

But that doesn't help me very much when I only have one printer. :D

I also found both of the files in my WINDOWS / SYSTEM32 folders as the guy did. So...

Anyone have any clue on how to fix this? I'd hate to have to click so many times in order to open a file... and that'd break my mouse and probably my Lappy?

    Ahhh well. :)

    :)

  4. Hey -- The AMD Processor I'm looking at has an AM2 Socket... I was wondering what type of motherboard you guys would suggest? I have my eyes on ASUS...

    But not quite frankly... sure

  5. OK Guys...

Moving on to Mansfield University in the fall. Time to start thinking about me getting a new PC.

First off, these specs are partly "borrowed" from a close acquatance of mine. :) But nonetheless, I like the namebrands I chose, so here ya go...

    AMD Processor

    Corsair Memory

    NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS

    PC Case

I'm sure I can wing getting a sound card... and DVD drive...

Any suggestions on MOBO? I know they have some combo deals... but... open to suggestions.

    ---

BTW, I had a guy build me a quick PC what he thought would be good... and he said he would choose an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an EVGA graphics card over the AMD and NVIDIA... :)

    Suggestions all welcome.

  6. Finished "The Silmarillion" yesterday m8s. :D

Maybe I should read books when I'm not busy, eh? :P:D I'm gonna go back over it... again... :)

Because I know there was some stuff in there that I didn't remember from the first time...

    :)

    Morgoth Bauglir baby!

  7. Hey, here's a good question for you guys (and gals... almost forgot NaurwenT :) ).

What's your take on the HoME books of "Morgoth's Ring" and "War of the Jewels"? I was tempted to get them but decided against it because I haven't read my "original" HoME collection. I'm on Chapter 10, "Of the Sindar" right now in "The Sil", I'll probably get ahead of some more in the book, after I complete some good ol' American history hw. :)

  8. Lol -- the reading for "The Silmarillion" wasn't that bad. :) :)

It just took me a long time to read because I was in my first and second semester at CCC.

Started to re-read it when ever I made the post, as a matter of fact. :D Hope to get this book done in a timely manner as I did with "The Lord of the Rings". Not another yearly read... ;)

    Thanks!

  9. Today I have finished Tolkien's great literary masterpieces. I have read them in order as follows:

    • The Silmarillion
    • The Hobbit
    • The Lord of the Rings

I had read "The Silmarillion" in about a year starting at the end of my highschool graduation, and than completing it at the start of summer after my second semester. I had read "The Hobbit" in under a couple of weeks during my third semester whilst taking a "Pre-History of England" course and comparing / contrasting it with Seamus Heaney's "Beowulf". The third semester really opened me up in finishing Tolkien's literary works, in particular "The Lord of the Rings".

"The Lord of the Rings" in itself took me a while to get through. I had read "FOTR" and "TTT" in about a month in a half at the outset of my fourth semester, but was waylaid of completing the trilogy due to an independent study that I had signed up for (and had failed to complete due to professor-based stupidity)... any how... after about a month of loving and hating the independent study I said the heck with it, and dropped the topic. I than picked up where I left off with "The Lord of the Rings" by reading and finishing the saga with "ROTK".

All in all, I must say that I enjoyed Tolkien's works very much, apart from the fact that there were moments in his writing where it seemed very dull and plain. I will nonetheless continue in my studies by reading "The Histories of Middle-earth". With that, I must say the following to the TLA development team:

"The Road goes ever on and on... continue on the work wth TLA m8s!"
