  1. That's not communism, it's capitalism.

Well said, Klaas. :) I wish people like you lived here in the states.

Anyway, I think the U.S. attack on Iraq was a big mistake. There are quite a fewreasons for this, some are credible, others are not. I'll let you (collectively) decide which to believe...

One is that President Bush was only trying to impress his father by finishing his (father's) war. Another is the president's greed-for-oil.

Mr. Bush, after going after Osama Bin Laden for a while, changed his agenda to Saddam Hussein, giving the nation the impression that he was a threat to the US (he wasn't, though he may have been a threat to his own country). Now, Dubya's gotta multibillion dollar war he can't win. It should've been a quicky in and out bidness, but we've been there for, what, 2 years now? and

the death toll of innocent Iraqis has rised way past that of the 9/11 attacks (which Hussein was linked to by our dear leader) and

the amount of internal terrorist activities (car bombings and the like) have increased since the invasion and

we still haven't caught the man direct responsible for Sept. 11 nearly four years later and

the Bush administation continues to lie to us about the war and how long and costly they think it'll be (because the truth is, they don't know themselves).

That's my take on the "war" in Iraq. Actually I think of it as more of a...broken invasion...

  2. I agree with Zeusthor here. The Bible, and most holy books, in my opinion, came from one of two places. Either it was made up by people messing around or it was made up by the upper class trying to control the lower and middle classes.

For instance, with eating pork and stuff. The law in the Bible about not eating pigs had to do with people eating bad meat. This was before they had aluminum foil and refridgerators. So the guys who ran the joint got together and told the People that God said not to eat pork. So they stopped eating pork and they stopped dying of eating bad meat.

Another example is the change from "An eye for an eye" to "Turn the other cheek." The first was developed to keep people in line, make sure they didn't wrong each other. But when they realized that too many people were killing each other over little stuff, they told them to turn the other cheek, hoping to make them more peaceful.

As far as I can tell, neither of them works.

  3. But, for developers GTalk is a gift from god

    Thanks for the clarification.

I didn't know that, though it makes sense for Google to improve anything it touches even if I can't tell.

    Like an Open-Source Midas... :)

  4. Are we allow to post CDs that we are almost certain that we'll get in the near future?

Like, as soon as I talk my mom into it, I'm gonna buy Be (Common) and Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli). Sam's gonna hate me for the first one. And everyone, including [you], know's that I'd get the second.

Status on actually owning them is pending...

  5. Google Talk works pretty well. It's nothing revolutionary, you can do most of the same things with MSN messenger. I'm talking to Brian on GTalk right now, and the quality's good. That's all I can see, I haven't fully explored it's features...
