  1. Great job, that's the way to gain publicity! But ehm, you could've mentioned TLA, no? I know they're not that far, but still...;P
  2. What about using this code to align the ad and logo in a table: <table width="100%" border="0"> <tr> <td align="left"><img src="logo_url"></td> <td align="right">ADVERTISEMENT CODE</td> </tr> </table> The 100% part should stretch things out on all sorts of resolutions. Small resolutions will always have the add going out of the screen, but that problem is unavoidable, as you can only show so much at once. I don't think that is hard to implant using this board. Just change the header. At least I think it is done that way. I myself have only modded phpBB boards, but I think this system works roughly similar. Let me know what you do with it .
  3. It's not a big issue. But I can imagine that a webmaster wants his site as perfect as possible, with no minor glitches.
  4. No, you're right at that one . Well, I rather have two replies than none at all!
  5. Thanks for the enthousiastic reply, but that was already said, Curufinwë .
  6. Insurrection??? http://web.archive.org/web/20030602022634/...ion/index.shtml May I dare to ask what has happened with that project. A GI Joe mod for Renegade. Jeez, how does someone come up with that ?
  7. Frodo against Sam: "It's time Sam." "Time for what?" "Time to take over the world!" "Narf!" Sorry, but that just came into my mind. If you don't get it, replace Frodo with Brain and Sam with Pinky. If you still don't get it, search the internet for those names . I've included an document that distinguishes the different Elven people in Middle-Earth. It might help you to understand The Silmarillion and TLA better . Btw. I didn't make it. It was made by Adam (av_nefardec) the Project Leader over at TLA. http://forums.wildfiregames.com/tla/
  8. Hey Elanor. Nice to have you around here as a fellow Tolkien lover and Dutch(wo)man ! Don't worry, I didn't grasp the complexity of The Silmarillion the first time either, but it gets better every time you read it. Trust me . And a seperate genealogical tree might come in handy, will all those names and relations.
  9. Schaatsen in winter . SACRILEGE!!! Let's burn him at the stake! I can only comment with ! My relation with my comp: I could live without it, but then I need to find another passion. If I've a good book then I can easily set aside my comp. Problem is: I read too quickly so I run out of good books .
  10. Ok, but then it would be nice if people were informed of it (maybe describing it on the button). I didn't know this, so I've thrown away some of my votes.
  11. A poll gives two options: 1. Choosing to vote on something 2. Choosing to see the results by clicking on "See Results ('null voting')" I think that the second option should show the results and still give the reader the possibility to vote, because that is what I see on other IPB/phpBB boards. But when I click on "See Results" on these boards, then my vote (which is: 'voting null') gets saved an the system thinks that I've actually voted, thereby cancelling the possibility to make a 'real' vote. Is this a bug, or has this been done on purpose?
  12. Thx for the rep up ! And it was a pleasure to read that FAQ, as it is well written.
  13. I've made a screenshot and added it to this post. On the screenshot I selected the logo of this forum. I noticed there is much space left to the right of the logo. That's why I suggested table rescaling. And I find it hard to believe that Google won't allow you to precisely place the ad were you want it, because that way a lot of webmasters might not choose to use it, as it would ruin their layout.
  14. Online: as much as I want. FTF: I can do 2 (but I find that really anoying).
  15. I'm amazed ! Have you noticed how well the music and the action work together. Beautiful! It's a piece of art and nice to watch too !
  16. Winner could automatically join the betatest group of one (or both) the WFG games?
  17. One sigaret won't cost you your life. One every hour does.
  18. I noticed this on the TLA forum first. But I checked, and this problem also shows itself on thw WFG and 0AD forums: When I want to read a thread, then usually an advertisement is shown. I don't really mind this (they're shown on a good spot), but the ads are put to much to the right. That means the screen unnecessarily strechtes out. That's not good because: 1. It's not a clean piece of webdesign 2. People could miss interesting ads and that denies you ad income. So I suggest to rescale the tables (on all three forums).
  19. I noticed that too a couple o months ago. Then I found this link: http://wildfiregames.com/0ad/viewtopic.php?t=164 If you scroll down you'll read this: To bad .
  20. Those measures you give us, were in use, long before America was "discovered" by Columbus. It was used in Europe, and the migrating people took them with them. Then Napoleon conquered almost the whole of Europe and to form a unity of nations he introduced the "metric system" (is it called that way?). America wasn't conquered by Nappi, so naturely he couldn't introduce the measures there.
  21. @rohirwine: yup my fault, but Klaas saved me nicely @Adam: I don't understand that: people can also draw their sword on the right side of the road can't they?
  22. It's called the Gollum-syndrome Curufinwe . And ZeZar, if I'm honest, I don't like that avatar either. It's a bit too funny . Maybe you'll like one of these: They're from Lucasforums.com so you can take a look there if you want to see more. I hope this helped !
  23. Why could he only make that law after that war? @Klaas: that's what I was thaught, so blame my history teacher for that. Anyway, it could be because of both that reasons.
  24. Ow, I got the intention that it was old. My fault then . It is good anyway.
