If you go on the lobby, you might be able to find someone who will host for both of you. That way if either of you get disconnected, you can rejoin the lobby and rejoin that same match (as long as you're not using AI). You can ask me personally, I'd be happy to host it for you if I'm not too busy. Or just join a public match that someone else is hosting and maybe you can be on the same team and enjoy a team game. If you have disconnect issues it might be better to leave AI off, unfortunately. The game will not carry on properly if someone leaves and reconnects when there is an AI player.

Hi. Yes, this is possible. Do you know how to create and join a LAN match already or do you need help with getting into a LAN game together? Just in case and to save some time I'm linking a topic that explains how to do that part. Look at the PDF download in the second post there. It explains everything. After you're in there together depending on which map you choose, you can add 1 or more AI players and set the teams for the human players and the AI players using the game setup interface. How he treats us doesn't change this case. I don't wish to run a lobby where we make a habit of banning people based on just the word of others without evidence or just because they appear to be a 'trouble maker'. This would only give trolls ammunition in the future. At least he should be treated like we would treat anyone else facing this accusation. This doesn't look like an example of a case of rating fakery. Definitely not a classic case. Finally, we don't usually ban people for even substantiated cases of rating abuse.. Often when it comes to it, these cases can be resolved in other ways. And cases with disputes are more complicated and need to be examined and ultimately judged following due process... There's more I can add.. Since@elexis doesn't plan to join this discussion and since he told me that he doesn't care if I handle this case, I've removed the ban until further notice. I think it's a good point. I think it makes more sense to leave the rated match option unticked by default. Many noobs end up playing their first game as a rated match and don't even realize it's happening. I sort of agree with this. It might make sense to modify these features for a rated match...

Honestly none of what you guys are saying has anything to do with whether or not he has committed this rating fakery offense... I understand most of you don't like him but I wish that if you don't like this guy, then you don't comment on this topic unless you can keep it neutral, stay objective, and be relevant.. @borg- You watched how many matches of his where he did this? Who has replays? Who are the ones making a claim against plautus? Do they have forum accounts? @elexis Is there any substantiated claim against him? If not, then what? Does the man get out on bail if the jury is still deliberating?

I only care about this if it is a rated match. If it's a rated match then any action that is done on purpose to cause the rating procedure to fail is a problem. It only matters if you intentionally banned these guys from your match because you were losing and you didn't want to lose points.

I have to backpedal a bit.. I overstated how much I agree with point #2... This is the only part I agree with. Yea, personally I don't agree with this. At least this isn't obvious to everyone for sure.... You have to tell about something like this first. Maybe tell them only build on their half of the map and don't cross over the middle until after the ceasefire.

This is not true for a rated match. If it's a rated match, you are using our hosted rating service and you have agreed to the terms of our service and the use thereof. I agree with this. This is what I'm trying to investigate. Again, this is related to the rated match. I responded within about 10 minutes of your post to get to the bottom of this. Might as well see what comes of my involvement here... Better than waiting out the 1 week ban, yea?

Basically I see 2 main questions.. When plautus banned the guy from his game, was the ban occurring while plautus was losing? And the other question is, Is the claim true that he was banning because of someone breaking some no balista rule? I have heard him mention in the lobby about those units so it seems plausible he did make that rule.. Questions for @borg- I guess and @AnnoyingBabe/plautus

I prefer to have him restored to his original forum account since it matches his lobby name and this whole discussion is confusing for anybody that doesn't know all the context. I want to let him speak. I vote to have him temporarily unbanned from the forum. (Maybe it makes the most sense to just keep this annoyingbabe name for this thread since switching to plautus in the middle might make the confusion worse!?) My focus is on the lobby ban issue. The forum ban issue is separate but we can't really resolve this if he has no access at all. I've heard alot of different things now... I'm trying to put it all together.

These posts seem to happen like once a month... but I guess many are just basic password issues? @elexis Did you say you did reproduce this?
