  1. I really like this map. While it is not realistic it is indeed one of the bests for multiplayer games.
  2. hehe I'm very bad at post-imperial death match anyway The reason I think it won't change that much is because I hope the bot will learn to resign when all his units are killed so you don't even have to train siege weapons.
  3. introHello, I'm going to try to help beginners (like myself) become better at this game as I've seen a lot of people say they're having problems defeating qbot.This guide only works at this very moment and will most likely break/become useless when other features get added to the game. It does however include a few steps I find important and will help you in your overall gameplay I'm sorry for my english, it is not my native language but I'll try to keep things clear. Create a new game in Oasis and go as persians (default). setting up the forward baseAs you can see you start with 4 spearmen (I don't know a single name so I'll simply try to describe what they do). Let one of them gather all the treasures and send the other three to a forward place where you are going to set up a second base. If he's done gathering let him join the three others. Que 5 archers and put them to wood, qeue 10 female citizens and send them to food. A forward base is very handy as your military units will be produced closer to the enemy town center. The middle of the map also has a lot of wood resources so your economy will benefit from your military attack base. I like this place to set it up: Try to produce as many archers/spearman in your main base while your forward base is building. put them all to wood. That army at your main base is meant to protect your female citizens from an enemy raid. When your forward base is completed try to get as much army out of it as possible and task it on wood to. If you have problems with population then create some houses with the army at your main base. Setting up a fortTask 5 archers/spearman in your main base to stone and gather till you have 500. Put them back to wood now. At your forward base put a fortress up as quickly as possible and qeue 2 rams. in the mean time try to keep producing military. At your main base produce some more females if you see food is running low and make some more houses. Finish itWhen the 2 rams are produced, attack his bases. With your infantry try to focus on killing his infantry and send your rams to his town center. Notice the game is not over yet. Keep producing military at both bases because he will attack you while you are attacking his base. if the army he uses to attack your base is too big to handle, garissan all your miltary units in your town center and create 10 archers. When they are ready release all your military units allong with the new troops. When that army is killed, enjoy your victory
  4. holly crap xd that is REALLY fast When I post my strategy I really hope you correct it a bit and help me speed it up No it won't. It will delay it but not seriously slow it down. I'm an avid aoe3 (I know...) player and each and every game I rush (attack around 6 minutes). That is pretty fast and I think there will be people able to do the same on 0 ad.
  5. Not to mention the controls will be terrible. I don't think any android phone is capable of running a fluent game after about 20 minutes where battles start to get huge.
  6. yes, that was a pure waste of me as 88 units was pretty much overkill. should've attacked sooner I really want to get it under 9:30 And if you think your doing something wrong or want to get a bit better, I'll write my strat down here in the forums somewhere to help starting players (like me) a bit further.

I have played this game for 2 days right now and a couple of things I noticed: -see how many players are on which resource is really needed -the game is not really balanced in the sense that the bot makes a lot of female citizens yet in reality the military disadvantage of females is way to big compared to the economic advantage. It would be great if overall food prices go up so the importance of females becomes higher. A vulnerable economy (food) makes for interesting game play as you are able to raid the enemy economy and you have to make some defense. Right now you can just garrison and survive for 5 minutes with the excess of food you gathered giving you time to easily counter their attack. -will there ever be a better walling system implemented like in aoe3? -you can make a que (first go here, then go there, then go there) but if one of your commands is "gather" or "build" it gets priority. This is really annoying as you can't task villagers to build some buildings and go on a resource you task them to. I don't know if this is a bug or not but I think it could really be improved -you never get notified if you get attacked. It certainly gets the rage factor up if it takes you 10 minutes to figure out what happens to your 50 workers . Maybe some alert could be added? -you should automatically lose when all your villagers are killed. I have came to a point where I raided every villager from qbot and killed every new one he spawned. after some time he was out of resources and I had to player for another 5 minutes to find all his town centers and destroy them while he was unable to do anything I'm really enjoying the game so far, keep up the great work =D
  8. no, I really like the different resources. It's difficult to manage but you get rewarded for your hard efforts
  9. hehe, not as great as the post above but I think it's pretty good for me I had some problems finding their last unit causing me to slow down. I might be able to finish it in 9:30 but under that will be pretty hard
  10. thank you, I'm going to try to get under 10 mins tomorrow and hope F2 will do the job how did you got it soo quick? I gather all given resources and make a forward base near the bot. train some archers and shield-guys with womens in the home-base and focus primarly on food and a bit metal. on the forward base I train exclusivly shield-guys and archers that all get to put on wood, quickly build a fort and train 2 rams. while those rams are producing I send my first little army to deal with their military and then join with a newly produced army and my rams. What am I doing wrong? I'm also very new at this game so I don't know any names of units, let alone what counters what. I'm always assuming it follows the rules I'm used to (aoe3)
  11. screenshot-taking is impossible with prtscrn I just get a black image. I ended at 10:45, I'll see if I can beat the 10 mins
  12. I got 16 mins just because my rams were unable to ride over the bumpy area to their town x) I'll try again sometime and build my rams somewhere else. I think I can do it in 12
  13. yes, that works. but it isn't worth it. you don't get something for your hard efforts. imho this could be improved by not letting them run away from units but from arrows/dead animals. and have animals more in groups. This would reward more experienced players whilst giving a funny twist to the game
  14. Some points I would really like and that haven't been implemented. I don't know if they have been proposed in the past. -see how many citizens are on each resource and how many are idle. also beeing able to quickly select a random one on that resource. if this is not making sense to you, I'm thinking of aoe3 at the moment where you have a button which has as text the amount of viligers on a specific resource. if you press it you automatically select one random viliger from that resource. -A technologie tree (been suggested) which also includes military shipments. If you have played aoe3 in the past you'll have to agree that the decks with homecity shipments made for interesting gameplay. that way you could be at points where you'd either go for an eco upgrade or a pretty good military shipments. This would allow for very agressive early attacks or an extremely good eco making you have to scout to anticipate what he's doing with his techno tree. -hunting. In aoe you have hordes of for example bizons. if you shoot one of them they all run in the same direction you've shot at. if you shoot again after 12 seconds they repeat the process. This way you can get a lot of food/animals near your town center if you play smart and if you micro-manage your hunters. -beeing able to place resource dropoff points outside your claimed teritory. This way uncautious players would send their viligers more in the wild even more vulnerable to raids.
