    For Arielle and the 14 others hunters...all were in eagle form during the battle, I have not yet decided their fate but it is obvious, that if they survived, either they are knocked out & probably wounded or they fled from the battlefield b4 Morgoth came to pass.

    Anyway, I must have a nice talk with BO to decide of this...and with Yiuel as well...for now... just leave them aside :beer:

    As the eagles fell, the pain seared through the heart of those 10 who had stayed on the ground. They had spent thousand of years together, but then in minutes, 15 friends had died. They couldn,t believe that the tide of what seemed like an easy battle at first...had so easily turned around.

    With a quick look at each other, they decided it was time. 3 of them departed quickly, to get to the captains of each of the seperate Rekigerians armies. Then, the remaining 7, including Calamelda and Moradencil changed form to because greater beasts that no one was able to put name to. They had the skin as hard a rock, and nothing was able to pierce it, it had wings and it was gigantic. Their poured alot of energy into this transformation, knowing it would be their last before the end of the battle. Then, they made their way to the front line, once they did, the Rekigerians utterly decided to retreat with the wounded, and no ennemy understood why they did so. During those few moments of confusion, the remaining Black Wolves made a lot of damage in the enemy lines. Finally, when they were assured that the people were too far to be shot by the wicked weaponry of Sauron, they let go and morphed into Black Wolves, their most natural form. Evading the attacks, they too retreated back in the safety of the chain of mountains.

    There would be no burial for the thousand of dead. But they would be remembered in the hearts of those who had survived.

    uh...how many Maias did you kill ?

    because yes, the eagles are maias...and yes they can change form. I don't believe you could kill as much as you said you had. And I do think they'd make more of a standoff than that and change for a stronger appearance as well.

    nm...I assume they are all dead...

    15 giants eagles were spreaded all over the battlefield, looking downwards to what would become a bloody massacre, on Sauron's side of course.

    Arielle kept in herself above the water, high enough so she couldn't become a target. She was overlooking the movement of the Rekigerians with a careful eye as did all of the others. But then, she lost focus for an instant, as a wave of evil was felt throughout the land. Some of the others felt it as well and plummeted for a few seconds towards the ground. But the shock only lasted for a few moments, and they quickly regained control of their nerves again.

    But whatever had done that, would certainly not benefit them at all.

    Calamelda smiled at the sight, it seemed, she, Moradencil and the 8 others of their group had been quite successful in the training they had provided the Dunedain and all those other people who had asked it of them. As they all put on the wargear, none showed fear. There was a calm figured clamped over the face of each fighter. That was one of the things which was most important in battle, getting ahold of your own nerves, if you didn't and panicked, you were more likely to die.

    Once everyone was ready, the 10 Black Wolves lead the men/women elves and humans together. Arrows knocked to the bow, spears and shields at the ready, they marched toward the pass South of Rekiger, heads high, determination in their eyes. They would stop there and wait for the signal of the eagles.

    She gave out a sigh, a lot would die on this day perhaps. But she hoped it would be worth it. Then the warrior/hunter let her thoughts dissapear and reached that calm place within herself, where the beast lied and the need for blood was always present.
