  1. My gaming carrer started in 1991 - Bag Man. The first real computer game was Caeser II - 1997, and my favourite came a year later with Lords of the Realm II - still my favorite, I got rid of it a few months ago though *in anguish*. I find gaming fun for just about all the reasons that have already been mentioned, but my favorite, seeing war, in any age, right in front of me...beautiful.

  2. Honestly Widukind :)

    1. I post replys when I first log on, and topics later.

    2. That's my job, would you be happier if I posted them at 30 second intervals?

    3. Why would you come back if I posted only one boring article?

    4. Coming up with several threads to keep you interested is not exactly easy.

    5. I do want to know the general age groups of people here, I do want to know why you think computer games are fun, and I do truly want to know how many computer games are fun.

    6. Posting 3 at once gives me a chance to eat you alive. he he

  3. Well, as a matter of fact, that was only one out of several:

Napoleon: The Emperor Returns - take Napoleon form Waterloo to escape from Elba and win the world.

    A 'what if' RTS

The Gallic Wars - take command of a centruy of, Archers, Calvalry, or Infantry, lead them straight into the glorious fray.

    Sort-of like an ancient shoot'em-up

How the West was Won - Your choice; become cheif of a powerful tribe, or ride at the head of the sixth cavalry.

    Indians and Calvary RTS

Warrior of the Sea - Your are the midshipman in command of a sloop of war, after you have successfuly carried out your orders you are promted... Until finally you are Lord Admiral.

    Naval RTS/RPG

General of War - Be the commander of a modern day army... and into the near future - equipped with ammazing wepons, and your determanation to win. Requires mirominding like no other game.

Explorers of Greatness - Become: Marco Polo, Colombus, Cortez, Lewis and Clark, Indiana Jones, Glen Armstrong, and a heap of others in your quest to discover the universe. RPG for discovery, fighting when nessesary.

Zulu - order your hordes to butcher the British. RTS

Insects - gather, colonize, destroy. Take the comand of ants, bettles, wasps, spiders, or termites in your quest to capture the world. RTS just like anyother RTS just different units.

Over the Top - become a British sergant in command of twelve men loyal and true; set explosives, introduce new technology, Charge over the top, and capture enemy positions. RPG, RTS

There are several more, but I don't have time to tell all of them right now...

  4. I think that the contest sould have all 3D computer art, it doesn't matter what program your using - also, rather than having guidelines like so many other contests, it would very simply be what ever you wanted to draw. All art would be turned in on the same day (exceptions allowed) - one month after contest announcment, and would be reviewed by a board of members entirely unfamiliar with art - this would mean that the reviews would be unbiased to poly counts, methods of texturing... etc. The prizes should not offer much more than honor, though... people would be more prone to cheat.

  5. Honor - that would be an interesting prize. In the forums there would be a special gallery where the contest winners image would be placed on display; that way, people could donate points, and he could get recognition for his skill. Also, there would be very few pictures in this gallery - to add to the glory. Then there would be another gallery where runner ups have smaller pictures, and would not get nearly as much recognition, but would get some and have a chance to see everyones all at once.

  6. Won't get into all the details, but a computer game that picks up where AOEII left off - from the Renaissance to the 1902 - the last technology would be flying powered flying. Also, there would be flying throughout, from Da Vinci's crazy hawk wing thing to the Wright Bros. Flyer.

This is a great idea for a thread. WFG should try to do a few of these ideas - it would be fun.

  7. A person who is religious can say stuff like this; " I am a Christian, yeah, I think the Catholics have some good points, Maybe, evolution could have had something to do with creation - after all a day simply CAN'T mean a day" that's only a few of the things that a religious Christian will say. As for a true Christian, someone who is not would never understand - which is why I dicided to wrap this post up. I can tell that it's a lot more than just not saying the things that a religious christian would say.

  8. I am undecided, but in the end I'll say yes. I have played a few, and it just seemed that it would lower could possibly lower your - innocence? Maybe that person would go so low, that whenever he had an argument - he would rather get violent that work it out. On the other side of the specturm, though, violent games allow you to be violent so why would he want to do the real thing?

  9. What don't you like about an emachine? Personally, I'll go with a Dell, but my emachine was a good deal, and I haven't had any problems with it - yet. Now, I'm really suprised at a Compaq! My best friend had one for the last 5 years, and had no trouble with it. Also, If I were to list all the individual companies, the poll would be 20ft long! So I have just listed the one's that I am familiar with.
