    I didn't find the official publication yet, but, to use a right-wing/conservative newspaper as reliable source without suspicion of too much antifascist propaganda, here's what the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (one of the leading newspapers in Germany) said:

    So again, I'm also from Germany and I do not think that this example is in any way related to our current situation. Sorry, I don't want to offend you, but § 86 StGB clearly states:

    (2) Propagandamittel im Sinne des Absatzes 1 sind nur solche Schriften (§ 11 Abs. 3), deren Inhalt gegen die freiheitliche demokratische Grundordnung oder den Gedanken der Völkerverständigung gerichtet ist.

    This is clearly not the case in a videogame, completely independent of whether it is art or not. Additionally the content of the game is not related to the time of national socialism at all, so it should be obvious that the cases of using these symbols like you are complaining just do not fit here, imho. It's not the case that there is any kind of agitation in the game.

    I don't need to quote (3) and (4) again, if you're interested you can follow the link above, but they do approve what I just wrote.

    Hey there, I recently updated from svn and recompiled and now the water looks like this:

    Now I wonder, whether this change is really expected to look like this or whether it is rather some kind of bug? Because I would say that the waves in the second (and old) screenshot look better than in the first (new) one, but maybe that's just mho.

    yeah its more very moe than last. but Pathfinder and CPU are great obstacles to have great Performence and experience.

    I set ever session in 100 Units Population Max. But its very Adictive, i wish play with 300 against 4 player in 2013.

    And Improve new Stuff and the Features.

    But The game its More and more, The project growns, User and Contributors, are more every day.

    Yes, I also think that this should be taken serious. The performance is also the biggest fun killer for me. However I voted on indiedb and wanted to vote on moddb, too. But to my surprise it told me that I had already voted. I hope my vote counts for both platforms now.

    Just to add another opinion: I don't think, the semi-circle ornament is overpresented. I would rather think the opposite: It equalises the buildings of the race and makes the player realize to which other player the building belongs immediately. It's a special characteristic of the Mauryan buildings so why don't use it in the game? It's historically correct and that's what the community also often focuses on (while crowdsourcing). And I don't think it goes on the nerves of a player. I think it's great!

    wow...that's...long! ...you really expect the devs to read the whole thing? ;)

    There's no sound/notification when the player is attacked.

    I'm pretty sure this will be implemented someday...e.g. there's already a ticket in Trac:

    However, the player hears screams ans sounds of fight even when they are off-camera, far away, and hears them as loud as if they were very close. If the sounds of off-camera events have to be heard by the player, maybe they should play with a lower volume. And there could be a fade effect when the player is moving the camera.

    I'm not sure, but I think exactly this is supposed to happen, maybe you've got a bug?

    There is no indication about the place you've clicked to move your units. It would be good to have little arrows or a flag, like in the "Age Of" series.

    I can't find a ticket right now, but I'm pretty sure that will be implemented some day...

    Maybe it would be good to have a bell to ring in the city centres to put the villagers in garrison when attacked, and let them go back to their respective work when the menace is gone.

    I think the inner courtyard / atrium needs to be more lively...e.g. through adding some barrels or something else... but you probably had that in your mind already. But apart from that it looks great! Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to see it finished one day. ;)

    edit: As it should be a barrack, I think weapons, shields or some sort of armor might fit better than barrels :)

    Someone should look into making a quality utility with maybe a high strategic level planner. For an RTS this should produce the most effective AI.

    Dont't get me wrong, but why don't you try it yourself? This is open-source...I myself made some experiments, but I never came to the point where I would show my code here in the forums because people would probably lough about it... but you seem to be more advanced, so why not doing it?

    in the common-api-/common-api-v2-folder you can find the functions that are used by the bots (, atleast the most of them...I think ScaredyBot doesn't, but he also doesn't anything at all, he is just like an empty cladding, that you might use as starting point for experiments, if you want to... I did so, too)

    I disagree. Civilization V is a very successful game, but it only has one UI aesthetic for all its factions. Same goes for the Total War games. One can argue that the current UI is ugly and that it needs redesigned. But if one were to make such an argument, one should be prepared to give specifics.

    Well, AoE2 was also a very successful game and did exactly the opposite. ;) And I have to say, that I really loved the UI of AoE2, but that's just my personal opinion.
