Just had a thought (and it is probably more complicated), instead of a config setting... what if players were allowed to dock the panels wherever they chose during the game? There could be predetermined locations (bottom left, center, and right) that the panels would snap to. Just grab something representing a handle and move it to whatever configuration you choose.1 point

Units with both ranged and melee attacks have been planned. I'm not sure quite how they would work though. For what you suggest with Centurions with a limited number of spears it could work with a cooldown timer so they would automatically get a new spear after 1 minute or something. This would save messy micro of picking up thrown spears etc.1 point
