Graham1
Hi All Noticed that the latest PPA for Ubuntu is 19.04. Just wondering, given the 20.04 release, are there plans to add a PPA for this LTS release? (like 18.04). :)
Stan`
Yes there are plans. I'm currently working with the maintainer to update the dev PPA. I guess the regular should come soon

You can still play A23B on 20:04 The maintainer confirmed they are using the latest release there. A24 is still in the works.
Graham1
Is that by modifying the PPA to bionic or installing the snap from the store? Edited April 23, 2020 by Graham1

According to https://launchpad.net/~wfg/+archive/ubuntu/0ad.dev/+packages and http://irclogs.wildfiregames.com/2020-04/2020-04-23-QuakeNet-%230ad-dev.log there are recent packages because we are testing binaries because there were some updates and more are still needed in order to function properly mainly Nvtt fixes and outdated spidermonkey, but that does not meant that 0ad is releasing it is just development snapshot. Because there are still many bugs to be solved as seen here https://trac.wildfiregames.com/timeline and here https://trac.wildfiregames.com/roadmap

Graham1
Is it difficult to get the PPA working with 20.04? If so, no worries as I'll just check the website.

Sorry Ah my bad, I assumed you'd know since you were a GNU/Linux user. IRC also known as Internet Relay Chat is a text chat protocol. Just like discord or other chat applications it allows people to chat together through channels. #ubuntu is a channel You can use web clients such as this one https://webchat.freenode.net/ to connect to IRC. I tend to use forums and emails to communicate. I may have used something like IRC before as Linux Mint have their own chat client. I've logged onto Kiwi IRC (haven't created an account) but doesn't seem to be anybody there. Should there be other users online? No idea what I need to do now. Stan`
Ah it seems to need registering, just tried to login into that channel and it bounced me back to ubuntu-unregged. I'll ask ricotz a second time then, sorry for the inconvenience.
Graham1
Yes, I think I found that channel and it mentioned something about registering. Please don't apologize, you've been more than helpful. Thanks for your quick replies. I'll keep checking the website for updates.
