Can't destroy enemy buildings just conquer them?

Hi! I just started playing 0 A.D. today and it is a lot of fun! Just one problem I can't figure out. When I attack a building with my units they do not destroy the building, they just conquer it? I have on conquest on gameplay settings so I do not understand why they just conquer all the buildings and not destroying them. So what settings do I need to change so my units will destroy enemy buildings and not just conquer them all?

For atack instead of capture use the control (ctrl) key on your keyboard.

Especially use siege engines, elephants or mauryan warriors because swords and arrows are not good at breaking walls.

But there is no option to turn on that all the units destroys the buildings automatically or do I need to use (Ctrl) Key all the time?
