craig Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 Hi, I like the formations sistem in 0AD but i think it is currently a little useless: when two enemy formations crash, each soldier starts a hand-to hand combact and soldiers don't work together as in a real formation. For exeample, in the reality when two phalanxes fight the first line creates a "shield wall" that enemies can't walk through, while in the game when a falanx is attacked enemies can pass through the formation. Kazu Kun Posted February 16, 2012 Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) I'm not going to lie.. that battle system would be AWESOME in this game..I'm pretty sure that will definitely be a finale in the last parts of beta though :X____Also as far as this battle system goes, for units with shields, why not give them a chance to block for no damage? Since I noticed that ranged Calvary have a rather large chance to miss ( which can be very annoying, not to mention they throw those little javelins WAY to SLOW ) so instead of missing frequently, just make it to where shielded units have a chance to block the arrows, or swords with shields..
