Hello!

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I was looking for an open-source AoE (as AoE2 doesn't play nice with wine, nor windows 7 most of the time). And after a couple of google clicks I heard about this.

I'm truly truly amazed! After trying out alpha 3, I donated 26$ to the project. (name: @NtynRuben) With alpha 4, I will review it, and again donate if the improvements are significant.

As for that, I am also a master student computer engineering (specialization: software engineering) at the university of Ghent (Belgium). So, I'm really interested, and reading somewhat of your design documents.

However, if I'm honest, I don't have much spare time. If this changes in the future, I'll come back and see what I can do.

In the mean time, I will be following development closely!

Cheers! And good luck in 2011!

Ruben

Hey Ruben, welcome to WFG. Thanks a ton for the donation! We really appreciate it. Here are a couple links you might be interested in:

(I'm afraid the latter is only useful as a quick overview, for a more detailed view this link is probably more relevant: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/#TechnicalDesignDocumentation )
