KeepThinkin
I've played this game for almost a decade and have never had any issues running the game on a Mac. I recently tried to reinstall it on my MacBook Air and for some reason the game just won't open. I'm not receiving any errors or anything it just doesn't open the application (it claims the application is not responding). I've been on countless Reddit pages and forums trying to figure out the issue through other's experiences but I have had no success. I've tried using the terminal, the basic force open, downloading different versions, etc. I'm unsure of what the issue could be, if anyone has any suggestions or may know a cause I'd be more than happy to try out and/or apply any advice you have to offer.
Stan`
Hello @KeepThinkin Can you give us more information about your mac and the version you are playing ? See ReportingErrors and GameDataPaths. KeepThinkin
Yes of course! Im using a MacBook Air purchased in 2021, M1 Chip, 8GB RAM, MacOS Monterey (12.3). And have tried for the last two months to download all the most recent versions available of 0 a.d. on the game's webiste. It is hard for me to see the reporting errors the application will not open at all. This is the first time I am attempting to download the game on this Mac. I have used it on my old ones in the past with no issues. I attempted to access the GameDataPaths as well and I had no luck finding anything. The folders it tells me to find aren't even in the system. I checked through 0ad's direct package contents as well. I'm not sure what's happening, maybe the game isn't downloading properly? I've tried downloading it multiple times and all 4 file options on the 0ad website with no luck. I wish I could be of more help but it really is a strange thing, the file seems almost incomplete. If theres anything else I can do please let me know and thank you very much!
Itms
What is the output when you try to start it from a terminal as mentioned above?

You can however open a terminal and use a command like so open /Users/{YOUR USERNAME}/Library/Application\ Support/0ad/
