  1. Huns didnt exactly have buildings till they practically anihalated the western roman empire, (i.e rome itself) until they thought, "hey, its wet muggy and cold out here, but its warm in here, i think i like warm"

Beforehand they lived in tentlike things no? So huns could like live off the land, and not have to build settlements and territory structures. (o rhave no tracts of teritory on the map at all)

  2. I dont think many people have done their homework, as mythos has said, merchant ships are transports.

And i think i posted (a while back now) a similar concern, but my statement was along the lines of garrisoning troops into ships and ship-to-ship combat.

    Boarding, so to speak.

So iberians wont have "war ships", they will do the barbarian thing and.. well.. TROOPSTACK TROOPSTACK!

They could get merchant ships and pack them up with javelins and slingers (they have those right? im not so sure about arrows)

And use them to fight, and also do the same but iwth infantry, and use them for boarding actions.

Though, they werent exactly naval so their boarding actions should be slower than even the gauls/celts. Cos they at least had a semi-fleet, (methinks?)

And im not sure if it is historicly accurate to have fire ships in this time, prove me wrong by finding a link to THIS TIME PERIOD (not IMPERIAL ROME PERIOD) of a battle where such tactics were used.

    Nuff sed.

Also, the post i speak of was about marine type units, where they come with the ships and they get it running, but have a combat bonus in boarding actions etc.

  3. Sounds like somebody has been stealing ideas from Unknown worlds entertainment. You should play natural selection (a mod for half life 1) or natural selection 2(standalone) the original games of this sub-genre. I presume theres only one "race" in this game? I'll check on this when i get home, websites blocked on school internet :(

OK I'm now home and will check this out, will be back with my response :)

Yeah reading the overview and it's certainly jumped the gun just in the first line.

It should be Second game, not first. They just had a bigger dev team and finished production of their game before NS2 was finished, though NS2 is in beta stage, it is still a game you can buy and play, but is constantly being updated. This seems very repetitive because both factions look to have very similar armories. NS2 has only got classes for aliens (or Khaaraa) Though as humans can choose their weapons freely, though it does look cool. Might buy it if i deem it worthy. :)

  4. 2 to 3 years you say?

Well if the north atlantic terrorist organisation stops bombing libya in that time, definately libya. Free education for my future kids and free medicine, (if gadaffi wins the struggle) and i hope alot of blacks survive the massacre that the "rebels" are giving them, holocaust again, only its blacks not jews. Sad.

If not im fine with staying in Australia.

Oh and mythos your welcome in sydney, if you ever come to australia :)

Edit: Noticed the poll, so Japan, i watch alot of anime and read alot of manga and my best friends been to japan so he can show me round :)

  5. I would like to see a combination of aoks farms, warrior kings windmills (and sawmills!) and rise of nations farms, (i.e 5 farms per settlement, which would make it so you need to expand and if you want to maximise efficiency you gotta make industry!)

This'd be cool for mines too, like smelters and stonesmiths.

oh i forgot to explain for those whovenever played either of said games.

Its a simple tree; Gather resource, drop it off at industry building i.e windmill, it is now refined and now you drop it on a town center and it drops more resources. Example: without windmill its 10 with windmill its 11. Small bonus but still a bonus.

  6. Ok, a while ago i posted on This Topic, relating to archers on boats.

As i said there, i think it would be cool to have a marine unit for, say, carthage, persia, greece and Rome. Since i'm not sure if the Iberians or celts had proffesional Naval forces (or any form of naval force at all).

As was also said there (by me) is that normal units, in this case archers, have a disadvantage while fighting on ships while at sea, i mean, it's not a fun thing when your invasion force gets caught at sea by a navy built for naval fighting before they reach their destination is it? Unless you want a highly depleted or very dead invasion force :P

And vice versa for Marine units, they CAN fight on land, but get a disadvantage while doing so.

    Watcha think?

    Cool feature or too complicated?

  7. Personally i would like to see the archers shoot slower on boats, i mean really, your on a boat (MOTHER @#$%ER DON'T YOU EVER FORGET) *ahem* I mean, It's wavy, so you wouldn't be able to shoot or aim rather as fast as you would on land, That's where Marine units come into the equation, they don't get disadvantages on boats like teh landlubberz, makes sense and would give a reason to have marine troops, personally i think it sounds cool.

I might put this in a suggestion thread.

  8. I can't believe i didn't do this earlier

This is the music i've been listening to since.. I was 11 or 10 even. 5/6 years ago, Jolly gosh RIGHTIO. OK

Today, we are doing a comparison between Trent Reznor's Hurt. And Johnny cash's hurt.

They are entirely different songs, though being the same. It hurt's to think about it.

    First of all, The Original.

For Trent, it is all about his drug use and how it is ruining his life and how he desperately wants to quit, but he just can't.

    And now For Johnny Cash.

It's all about him reflecting back on his Life, and reflecting on how he was Basically alone, as all his friends and family.. had passed on. "what have i become, my sweetest friend", Is him reflecting on how he became a monster in his own eyes.

    Rest in peace Johnny.

  9. Yeah that makes sense, ok now i feel like a fool (do i ever?) Could also be my dads workmates fault, (he's always sick, and my dads the plaguebearer i.e doesn't get sick but still bears the disease)

Though it still seems silly how as a kid i was practically never sick.

Tenk yoe Mestir Mathermytishenz! I wud never hav knode Dat!

  10. Err, actually, 12 days isn't much, considering that the average school days per year are roughly 100 (give or take). But yeah, maybe it could just be me. AND i didn't mean Actually coughing up a lung, I'm just coughing and sniffing practically all the time. Maybe i just never get better and that's my problem, i just find it to be an absolute pain. As usual, i could have phrased that better. But whatever.
