No, I've just read that article before.

Bain! And there was much rejoicing

You got the last part from Encyclopedia of Arda, I suppose.

The light from Sauron's Eye was ridiculous. It was like a torch, it wasn't scary at all.
-
Sorry, wrong thread. I was talking about Tom Bombadil
-
Ah, but he was there before the Elves ever came to Middle-earth.
-
That's what I meant. I meant, if Peter Jackson believed Sauron to be a giant floating eyeball, Saruman should have been envisioned as a giant floating hand.

Didn't Sauron once have some evil Dwarves in one of his battles?
About Dwrves as slaves, I think, when Tolkien reffered to Sauron not being able to control them, he might have been reffering to the fact that the Dwarves were resistant to the control the One Ring had over the Rings of Power.

And how quickly will buildings build? As fast as they do in AoK, or as slow as in American Conquest?
Off-Topic:
My god carries a hammer. Your god died nailed to a tree. Any questions?Which Roman god are you reffering to?

Perhaps, when Eru created music, and used it to create the Vala and Maia, maybe there was a different piece for himself? He could indeed be a Maia, but the Ring affects Maia, and it didn't affect him. No matter how you look at it, Tom Bimbadil is Tolkien's enigma.
Tom could infact be a Vala. He is resistant to the Ring's power, and he has great magical abilities. He is also focused on his own land, just as the other Valar are focused on their forests, mountains, rivers and oceans.
-
He could be the same as the Ents and Dragons (?), not Maia, but spirits none the less. Ents are the masters of their forests, Tom is a master of the lands near his home.

Basically, yes. It's th same principle with Saruman, who is sometimes refered to as the White Hand.

Hmm... I think the company thing was dicussed in another thread...
I don't know anything about the second question, though.

In BfMe 2, there will probably be underground maps, as some are featured in an interview.

HoMe X? I'm trying to decide which HoMe I should buy. What's the title of HoMe X?

A song that I really enjoy is The Maiden, from Stronghold. It's so simple, and quite sad. Only the second part has someone singing, the rest is plain. You can get it here.

Are there any books in which the lands East and South of Mordor, or Mordor itself, are discussed in greater detail?
-
-
I like the first one, I haven't listened to the second one. I've downloaded it. It's got an Arabic-feel to it... if you use anything like it, it would be good for Hard, Umbar and such.

Will the Haradrim have the Black Men with white eyes and red tongues from Far Harad?
-
True, true. You have a point. And anyway, it would probably be a men-only civilization (if it took place in the Third Age), as I doubt any women or children would swear an oath to fight for Isildur.
Off-Topic: Is Dunland a minor civ?

Are you refering to before or after they broak the oath they made to Isildur?
-
I suppose the world needs a balance of both, like with men and women. Logic and creativity.

I wonder what Radagast could do against Dol Guldur - Perhaps he called the beasts and birds of the forest to attack.
