I really have no plans to go to NE Europe anytime in my future. I'd imagine it's usually quite cold with hardly any hot days like today in California....
@Oivi: Perhpas you should have visited a different part of Sweeden?

In the realm of suburbia, there's no trees on our property.

Hmmm.... I'm not convinced of the "purity" of this suggestion. Vary rarely did Tolkien ever mention women accompaning men when at war. Tolkien never went into great details about "camp followers" as well. The impression I got from him was that the armies of Arda did not require these sorts of followers, and that they could sustain themselves in their own way. Women are viewed generally as non-combatants with the exceptions of the Wainriders and Rohirrim, and even then they usually just stayed behind to guard their homes. In general, I think it isn't a good idea for purists wouldn't make sense out of it for nothing ever alludes to this.

I'll cast my lot with the Spurs, since my Mom's doing so. Don't care much about sports.
And why do I hear the name Obi Wan Ginobili thrown around a lot lately? I swore I heard it being said in the last game telecast.....

*Looks at thread title and picture*
Great, people still are trying to rip me off. You got both the hat and sunglasses. But mine are much better, no one can deny the uberness of Matrix-esque sunglasses and a Soviet beret.

Hehe, one more year and you'll be in the tweens. That should give you more than a decade of beeing foolish until you come of age at 33.

Meh, I view extortion as a better way to steal money.

Heh, bloody school has also given me this "blah" feeling for who knows how long.......

@Desmond: True but still one can live in the past that was 1983, right?

Of Sam, IIRC. Yeah tis been around for quite a while now. Who's the guy that created this video anyways? He should be famous.

Obviously we all know that Tolkien thought that there was no possible way for a figure of darkness to redeem themselves. Having watched Revenge of the Sith has inspired me to make this thread. Do you think that (fictional) evil can be redeemed (ala Darth Vader) or do you agree with Tolkien that it can't be cured.

@Drashkurz: Don't feel that shamed. My interest in LOTR peaked because of the movies. And I'm proud to say that I feel no shame in that. Just like I feel no shame in being a 2nd-generation SW fan (my Dad has to remind us all that he watched SW when it 1st appeared in 1977 as a kid).

Funny I didn't see this thread before. Seems the Shroud of the Dark Side has fallen over my Internet............. no wait, it always was there. Mesa just getten lazy.
Anyways, saw it twice already. One of them the midnight premier no less (I've done it for the other 2 movies). I liked it very much for the most part, but I thought the scenes with the Wookies were too short. But the best thing is seeing how the Emperor WINS!!!! *raises arms in air, only to be force pushed, knocking down his chair*
PS: I still think nothing can beat Slave Leia. Just my attachment to nonstalgia I guess.

Hmm..... I swore I went to a very similar place on my France trip more than a year ago where there was a perfume factory. Too bad I lost my camera I was using so I didn't get any pics of S. France. Most likely it was where we went to, I seemed to underwent the same experience Timbo had of climbing that infernal hill to that village.

Meh, if I want to steam or rant I use a forum instead.

Well, tis been over a year now since ROTK was released. Does it seem like popular culture has now gotten over it and left the purists alone again or is the common man in your opinion still mindful of it without disgust?

Hmmm...... I believe there is something in the LOTR appendix that says that only Dwarven males wander outside their Halls. Since Gimli is seen in places other than his residence, that's another sign that he's male.

Well, I just got back from yet another shoot at March Air Field a few hours ago. We came here today because there was an antique truck show being held (and it wasen't on Saturday). So you'll find various things ranging from trucks to military planes to even German relics from WWII found in the museum. Enjoy our new pics.

@Java3: Tis the Law of Off-Topic Inevitability. All threads are naturally inclined to spiral off-topic due to the Unperdictability Factor caused by outside forces (ie. forumers).

I'm fairly sure it was some former TLA concept artist (not Adam) from the distant past who drew those pictures. And I'm also sure that that concept art is not meant to be used anymore by the TLA Team.

Wow im in the core group! What does that do again!
You basically get access to a special forum where you can put your input on something the 0 A.D. releases in that forum before the public can see. AKA it's mearly an elitest club consisting of former WFG members and those affiliated with other design teams.
Gimme money!I don't get paid for my job so how about no?
Oh and bow to me for some reasonI bow.......... for no man.

No I mean more specific things like if it'll be an FPS or a RTS, what theatre would it be set in, those sorts of things.
It's apparent you want to make a WWII game BTW.
-
I would at least get an idea of what type of game you want it to be and what features to insert in it to make it different from the rest. As I'm no game designer myself, the only other thing I can think of is post a seperate thread which describes in detail your "wish list" once it's ready.

@Alex: Shan's right, tis no harm in talking about your companies as long as it's obvious you're advertising it. Just describe it like it is a job you work at.
Plus we hate being left in the dark.
Anyone know something about spiders?

I never see any big spiders at my house. Since the ones I encounter are small, I tend to just squash them on sight. However I am proud of my collection of Cirith Ungol Spiders, they do good work guarding my backdoor aganist uninvited intruders.
