  1. My gf only uses the pc for chatting on msn with me or looking up stuff for school/gigs. So doesn't really like games, doesn't have the patience to learn playing them. Although she always makes fun of me when I said a played a game the other day she really likes it that I do some web design and I'm busy with my own community/site. There are many (annoying) girls though that think of any guy using a pc more then an hour a day being a stupid geek. Well, that's what I always tell my gf, I'm proud to be a nerd! (although I don't look like one) :)

  2. Don't know them all by heart, we have quite a few Catholic ones of which I can't remember the exact name/date

1st January - New years day

    2nd January - 2nd new years day

    14th February - Valentine's day

Last sunday of April - Easter day

the monday after that - Easter monday

    1st May - Labor day

11th July - Flander's unofficial (half - official since this year, after 701 years) national day

I don't count our national day and day of the royal family because 1: my country is stupid and has no sense, and 2: the royal family is even more stupid and has even less sense

1st November - All Saints (the only year we clean up the grave of the deads on our family)

11th November: 1st WW peace treaty

6 (or 5)st December - Saint-Nicholas (then kids get presents)

24th December: Christmas' Eve (and my birthday!)

    25th December: Christmas

    31st December: New year's eve

  3. Yep I agree, from another (not totally) viewpoint of course. I think Western society is going back to where it came from, it's like everyone has forgotten the essential things moralists, philosophers, historians, humanists or people like Christ, Luther, Ghandi, etc. told. It seems money, or rather materialism has become the essential thing in life, only few people still care about our roots. It's not a suprise the current period is called the nihilistic period.

I don't really understand your last sentence. Do you mean global peace will be acquired if the Anti-Christ is in power? Don't you mean it the other way around?

  4. What do you think about the future? I don't mean you should expose your futuristic sci-fi imagination, but rather what you think current society is evolving to. Do you think our Western ignorance and lazyness means the end of a great civilization or do you rather think modern technologies will save the world? Will the world become more honest for any human being, and eventually come to global peace, or will the current situation continue or even escalate?

    So, go ahead :)

  5. My father's family on father's side is an old aristocratic Flemish family. We traced our family history back to 800 A.D., so the family is quite old :)

We had some important members. The first one to mention was an advisor of the Flemish count during the war with France in 1302 (which is a national celabration day for Flanders). Another one was baljuw (comparable to a mair now) of Ghent during the time of Charles V, he was tortured and cut in pieces because Ghent opposed Charles V. We had also one who was mair of Eeklo, a town close to Ghent, during the war between France, Spain and the United Provinces (The Netherlands & Belgium). He saved Eeklo because French and Spanish forces were planning to fight eachother in the neighboorhood of the team and planning to pillage it. He made people burn big fires around the town and the French and Spanish thought Eeklo was already burning, so they left.

Anyway, right now the family means nothing anymore, we lost our title during the French revolution, not that I want to be aristocratic B)

  6. Yep, you're right about that, you can't be 100% historacly accurate in a game.

Well I guess they split them up because to the Romans the Gauls were their most feared enemy, they even sacked Rome in +/- 320 BC, something not even the Carthagians managed to do. Anyway, as you might see, in 0ad the Celts are split up: Britons, Gauls and Iberians. They were the three main groups.
