This is a site I've been working on for sometime, although only with the spare time of winter break have I been able to polish it to a good state. I've tested it on a fairly high res screen in FF1.5 and the latest IE on Windows, so I hope it works with other configurations. I'd appreciate any feedback with regard to content or design

The only links that I know don't work are the FAQ, Contact, and Advertising links in the footer.

  2. Initially I supported Blu-Ray, but upon looking into every factor a little further, I don't think the price to manufacture makes up for the capacity gained... I don't have the exact numbers on hand, but I surmise it would be cheaper for at least one or two years to produce 2 HD-DVDs than one Blu-Ray disc.

I really think a big part of this will be whether the PS3 or the X-Box 360 becomes the number one console, if and when the latter supports HD.

  3. I don't know if I can help you for sure Paal 101, but perhaps it's on the offical soundtrack? It's a good place to start looking

  4. A remote control is a common, everyday thing though, something that everyone who has a tv will know how to use. It's not nearly as frightening as any current controller to someone that has never seen video games before. Nintendo's even stated that they're trying to help people adapt that don't normally play video games in addition to giving current gamers some fun.

Very, very few decisions are crazy at the corporate level. Whether it's in video gaming or otherwise ;p

  5. The point of it is to move around -- instead of just sitting down and playing (which you can do w/ NES/SNES classic gaming and rotating the controller) you are up and active, aiming and being more mobile in the game. You move your arm and body, not just arms and fingers.

Besides, if Nintendo's controller designs of the past are anything like this, it will be extremely comforatble. Both the N64 and GCN controllers fit the hand naturally (The N64 controller is a design masterpiece! Multiple ways to hold it and yet every combination feels natural).

  6. Nintendo has released their much-anticipated controller for the Revolution at the Tokyo Game Show. Looking somewhat like a DVD remote, the controller features a simplistic design with one key feature: a motion sensor. The Revolution can read that you moved the controller up, down, left, right, forward, or back, and showcased some concept games that used this functionality. Arguably the most enticing demo was the opening area from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes refitted to use the Revolution controller. Albeit not a finished product and therefore having some bugs and issues, the implications of this mean that FPS games may be more at home on the REV over the PS3 and 360. How's that for irony?

(<fanboy>playable demos at a game confrence?! It's almost like they want people to use it, not gawk at it B)</fanboy>)

  7. That's pretty accurate, but we've had the tech to make keyboards silent for quite some time now... it didn't/doesn't really fly because people are used to the feedback of the clicking.

Also, I wonder if they did pitch relatively or absolutely, as that would make a really big difference on different keyboards.

  8. You'll want to get into the BIOS stuff to make it boot from disc first, but if you want to know beforehand see if you can get the motherboard model, or if it's a mass-made (HP/Compaq/Dell, etc.) just get the model number and look up the Motherboard/BIOS type/version.

If it's within 6-7 years old, it should support it... my old HP from '99 supported boot from CD (PheonixBIOS)

    Good luck!
