  1. whoa! awesome screenshot guys, very impressive.

The horse looks a little small, but most horses then were smaller than out modern ones. 2000 years of breeding have produced larger and healthier animals. Depending on the civ. in question, they may have been using one of the smaller pony breeds (Mongols, for example).

I think the dog looks a bit large, though. I am happy to see it, K-9 units would be interesting!

  2. hey, I think this looks great!! I don't think the buildings look floaty, but you might get a little of that unless we can sink them into the map a bit.

I really like how accurate the shadow system is, down to individual leaves and boards. One question about the shadow system, how does the light engine determine what color to use? It appears to take the local color of the texture it appears on and makes it darker and less saturated. It should also push them a little blue as well, since cast shadows on bright sunny days are actually lit by blue light refracted down from the atmosphere.

  3. he is just kind of standing there looking introspective B)

I remember reading somewhere that most of th armor from before the bubonic plague swept Europe was sized for 5 foot tall men. After the plague it was sized for 6 foot tall folks. Idk how accurate that statement was, but I'm sure that protein was not in great abundance 2000 years ago and most warrriors, while fit, wouldn't hold a candle to modern pro athletes.

  4. the elephant is in-progress. I'm going to make a diagramatic design of the elephant and the war-tower first and then illustrate how Hamilcar and the Mahoot operate with the animal.

and ignore my dopey comment about the Mahoot's weaponry, he's obviously holding javelins as Paul intended. :wine:
