Look at the version number of IE. It is of the form:
x.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx

Whoah! 1 millions downloads on the first day!
w00t! I bet IE never achieved that! (note - do not ask about this strange choice of smileys)

The first one you mentioned is the "Youth Reader's" edition. The other is the full version. They both include the same stuff, but the full version is (obviously) much longer, and thus probably has more content in it.

Open up a shell/terminal window. Un-tar.gz the Gimp 2.0 file. CD into it. Read the INSTALL file

If I want to get the packages on the other cds, I can just stick them in, right?
I'm not sure, but you can try!

Install stuff as root.
I dunno why it had the French OpenOffice. When I downloaded Mandrake a long time ago, it had it in english...
The other two CD's are for it you wanted to install ALL the packages in ALL languages.
Sure, KDE looks nice, but it is very slow. I recommend GNOME (a GNU product! Woohoo), WindowMaker, or just plain X.

Oh. Now I understand his post.
Hmm....
Would it be possible to do this?
begin.php
<?
$page = <<<HTMLend.php
HTML;
echo($page);
?>page.php
<? include "begin.php"; ?>
STUFF
<? include "end.php"; ?>That works as far as I know...

spreadfirefox.com went down. Probably since there was so much traffic, their servers exploded (the Slashdot effect )

So it's done installing? Do you have the internet up and running on Linux?

amazon.com
The author's website is:

I woke up this morning to bue sure that I downloaded it as early as possible.
So I downloaded it at 5:45 AM.

Someone at my school has been waiting for this day for months. I probably won't get it though.

According to an article on Slashdot, Microsoft agreed to pay $536 million to Novell from a lawsuite concerning Microsoft's NetWare. And it says that is not the end (*coughcoughWordPerfectcoughcough*)

Exceptions made for those who /have/ to use IE (or something else - Lynx, say) for acccessibility or language - but there can't be many such here.
Links pwnz Lynx!
In Links, I think that if you go to a message board with TeX in it, it will actually show the TeX code since it can't show images.
