  1. I really like this idea... Yoda vs. Legolas!
  2. Perhaps there could be a cheat called "total annihilation". This would give you 100 randomized super units.
  3. Yeah, maybe all buildings could be captured if they are at >x HP and have no ememy units garrisoned inside.
  4. I've got an idea - how about, bodies disappear like in AoK, but areas where there's been intensive fighting, a few groups of "eye-candy bodies" show up for a longer time? This would charecterize war zones without causing too much lag, I think.
  5. I saw in the FAQ that the game won't include ladders, siege towers etc. WHY THE HELL NOT??? You might as well not include walkable walls, 'cos takin' 'em down with ladders is half the fun!
  6. How about you just make it that the bodies disappear a few seconds AFTER the fighting in that area has stopped. I hate bodies disappearing halfway through a battle.
  7. Maybe the animals on the map would "breed" at a certain rate (respawn) if there is at least one male and one female on the map. This would force players to try and not over-use their resources and be "conservational".
  8. I myself love the idea of units gaining experience. I once played a game called theocracy where experience was one of the units' stats (along with attack, HP, armor, morale, stamina, you name it!). However, I'm not so keen on the idea that the time a unit is alive determines their experience. Perhaps you could change it to how many kills a unit gets? This would make it so you end up getting "champion-units", who have proven their prestige in battle, kinda like "minor heroes". Just an idea.
  9. I hope so too . The AI really should be able to pick the right formation and/or tactics for the right situation.
  10. Yeah, I hate it in most other RTS's how all the units end up being treated as utterly disposable. When this happens, everyone just uses the cheaper, quick to create units over the stronger (and cooler!) ones.
  11. Maybe have roads created like the are in The Settlers III? Commonly used routes eventually turn into dirt paths.
  12. Could you make it so roads are buildable in-game? I'm tired of AoK's preset roads on the map that can only be removed (build something on top of one) and not created. Perhaps units could be able to move faster while walking on roads? Also, the Romans should have some bonus to do with roads, as they were known for their road-building.
  13. If there ends up being ruins in the game, you should make them still garrisonable, but with slightly less capacity. This would make for really cool battles.
  14. Just on the subject of buildings, will all of them be garrisonable to a certain extent in the game? Having units hide in houses and jump out for an ambush-style assault would be pretty cool.
  15. Okay, I think climbing a gate's more ridiculous than making the metal in it go on fire!
  16. Here's another idea I had: How about if a stone building is destroyed, it is not just wiped off the face of the Earth, but it remains as ruins, though it becomes unusable until it is repaired. This would make for really cool battles in trying to reclaim ruined cities and stuff (Osgiliath!).
  17. I've been playing Age of Kings for a long time now and I'm really annoyed how if buildings get damaged they always go up in flames. So how about, in 0 A.D. certain buildings can only be damaged by certain things. For example, stone structures simply cannot be damage by swords/spears/arrows etc., but can be damaged by siege weapons? Wooden buildings could be damaged by melee weapons, but fire is more effective? If you incorporate fire into the game, could it be continuous damage unless it is extinguished? Fire could also spread to nearby buildings if it is left burning for a long time, too. This may sound like a bit of babble, but I've wanted to see something like this in an RTS game for ages.
  18. I've seen in various places that tributing units to an ally is being considered, but what about just being able to be in the same formation as an ally? Just a thought
