  1. In the US, as far as I know, AO (Adults Only) is the rating that is restricted to 18 and above. And that's kinda stupid because M (Mature) is 17 and up. I don't understand why they have separate ratings for a year's difference. It seems to me that it would be better to split up early to mid-teenaged years, not the end of adolescence to young adulthood. I don't believe in ratings anyway, but now that they're here...

Oh, another one that's been vetoed is the bill that would've allowed non-citizen adults to apply for a driver's license. So illegal immigrants (primarily from Mexico) would have been able to get driver's licenses, now they can't. (Which is a good idea, in my opinion.)

  2. Kanye West & Consequence & Cam'Ron - Gone

I've decided that my posts are too sparse, so I'm gonna quote the song I'm listening to from now on. (Or at least as long as I can remember to.)

"They claim you never know what you got 'til it's gone

    I know I got it, I don't know what y'all on

I'ma open up a store for aspiring MC's

Won't sell 'em no dream, but the inspiration is free"

  3. AAAhhahahah!!!1

That's great, I love it! Good one Esteban, good one...

Here we go: There's a new virus programmer out there with a sick sense of humor...Here are some of the things he's been designing...

Federal bureaucrat virus: Divides your hard disk into hundreds of little units, each of which do practically nothing, but all of which claim to be the most important part of the computer.

Bill Clinton virus: Promises to give equal time to all processes: 50% to poor, slow processes; 50% to middle-class processes, and 50% to rich ones. This virus protests your computer's involvement in other computer's affairs, even though it has been having one of its own for 12 years.

Congressional Virus: The computer locks up, screen splits erratically with a message appearing on each half blaming the other side for the problem.

Freudian virus: Your computer becomes obsessed with marrying its own motherboard.

PBS virus: Your PC stops every few minutes to ask for money.

Politically correct virus: Never calls itself a "virus", but instead refers to itself as an "electronic microorganism".

I'll stop there, taking a small bow...

  4. Hey everyone, just giving you an update on the laws being passed (or bills being vetoed) out here in California, US. To make things a little organized, if you want to discuss one in particular, list it's number:

    1) Passed: All cigarettes sold in California must be designed to self-extinguish after a few minutes of not being smoked. This is based on a law from New York and takes effect in about 2 and a half years.

    2) Passed: Internet hunting of animals is banned. I think this was mentioned and discussed before...

    3) Passed: It is illegal to send unsolicited advertisements to or from a CA fax machine. Fine is $500 dollars. (No more spamfax. (y) )

    4) Vetoed: A bill that would've allowed school districts to create alternative assesments to the high school exit exam. In other words, they could recieve a diploma by taking a different graduation route, other than a test.

Vetoed: A bill that would've exempted many special-education (mentally retarded) students from the exit exam.

    5) Passed: High school athletes are prohibited from using dietary aids banned in college and Olympic sports and high school coaches are required to be trained in the dangers of them. This bill, I believe, is one of many that have set back companies in the supplements industry.

    6) Passed: Video game makers will be required to label violent games with a big, black-n-white "18" sticker, and any retailer who sells said games to minors (under 18) can be fined $1000.

This information is courtesy sans permission of the Los Angeles Times.

I think I'll save my opinions for later... :)

  5. You mean "scratch" pad? :)

I was just about to suggest that, because not only does it have a scratch pad but I believe there is an extension that allows you to make a To-Do list and check off the items you've completed.
