i do not want to get into this topic too much, as this might be a little sensitive topic, and im really bad at politics... however, i will say this...
i dont think that the only problem with Iraqis is having americans drive BAD through traffic...

well, i voted macbook, but only if u can get the macbook PRO... because honestly, the macbook with its intel chipset for gfx doesnt work well with games other than that, i dont know really, but i never have any use for a PDA or even a fancy phone... id suggest u put all ur $$ into a cool laptop...
as for the OS, if ur not going with the mac, id suggest u make ur regular boot something comfy like Ubuntu (cooler & faster boot than windows on any pc ive ever tried) and then u have to install a version of windows to enjoy REAL games...and for that, i bet XP would be much better (read some articles around slashdot about XP having better performance over Vista thus far)... plus, i think XP is a lot lighter, and so should same u some more CPU & GPU juice for your gaming experience...
thats completely my 100% amateur based on experience only advice, take it at your own risk

wow... VERY cool... didnt think id want to play as the persians, but this post makes me seriously reconsider

hey mates, ive always had this idea that OpenGL & 3D programming in general is WAAAAAAAAAAY over my head... however, i could never completely kill my never-ending desire to learn uber-cool gfx programming... i guess gfx & AI are my MAIN interests in computer programming...
anyway, after finally graduating from college, and having not done any gfx programming in the last 3 years (last i did was a trivial project for college) i decided now i had the time to try and take a look... i found (off course) from google a lot of great tutorial sites about opengl, specially NeHe... however, there is one that i found out to be quite outstanding...
This site is VideoTutorialsRock.com... and as im sure u can already guess, the tutorials are video presentations... the site is really nice and the tutorials are really REALLY basic... i mean, they wont let u get any real hard core stuff, but they sure got me to grips with ALL the basics i need... better yet, with every tutorial, there's the source code which compiles without ANY trouble on any platform (Win/Mac/Linux)
I will probably go over to NeHe or find some other more serious OpenGL site (probably buy the OpenGL SuperBible) once im done... but for now, this site seems cool enough
just thought id share this with you and keep you posted as to my 3D learning adventure

Again thanks.

Basically, my first thoughts would be for you to get it through Amazon or E-bay

ok mate... i did a newer search on google this time (hope im not presenting info you already have) and here's what i got...
this is a link to the GrandSlam Video Ltd company page on MobyGames... if you click on view All Games by, and then Sci-Fi/Futuristic genre, you can find the game Reunion...
hope that helps

me & my gf went out to a little stretch of the desert by Cairo, and we had a picnic there by night and watched it... was pretty cool

hey mate... i just want to say, i find this (and the Mideval mod) BOTH a VERY very good idea... i think they will make playing the game THREE unique experiences...
Hope you keep up the good work and impress us all

omg... OMG!!!!!! LMFAO!!!!! this is WAY off the funny scale...
One poster responded, “If Plan A is to take multiple .338 shots to the back, you really need to come up with a Plan B.”couldnt agree more...
I am the Sergeant of a three-man Rapid Tactical Force at one of America’s largest indoor retail shopping areasindoor retail shopping area? isnt that a mall? and since when did malls have a RAPID TACTICAL FORCE... i mean, here in egypt we only have a small dispatch of the navy marines, a couple commandos, a scout/sniper team, a tank, an air-craft carrier and 2-3 destroyers, but thats about it... why the tactical force?
Seriously though... WICKED POST

i like big maps too... gives you time to actually build up your economy and "get a life" before bringing out the big-guns
-
Hello back mate... and welcome to the forums

I must say... im in also for the raiding idea... makes more sense to me... i mean, ok, im sure the plunder is a viable resource (you destroy a building, or a ship and it leaves behind lots of wood, etc etc) but the idea of raiding is also very cool to me

I usually end up being an orc with a sword in whatever game I play
Really? i've never played as an orc really... i mean, NEVER... i had an orc party member in might & magic once, but that was it...
(That doesn't match real life since I'm not actually an orc.)No? that would've been interesting!

Phew......geek mode done for now!
WOW... lol, you sure know your game mate ... unfortunately for me, i lost my morrowind CD to a friend long time ago and until i get a new pc, im lost without elder scrolls
Anyway, i was in the morag tong too, and got into the black hand (or was that in ES:Daggerfall? cant really remember)... but that morrowind WAS an excellent game... still IS too really... anyway, hopefully this summer im getting an apple g4 or g5, with dual boot and getting windows on it, so i can run oblivion... for now, i only play GuildWars daily... nice game, really looking forward to the expansions this summer

hehehehe... but also, dont forget vista is good looking(id say real cool, but my only two OS'es are Mac OS X, and Debian with Compiz, so vista is really... nothing new)... unfortunately, these sweet looks come with a price... namely, eating up a LOT of resources (unlike the compiz/ Mac OS's Expose') which may hinder ur gaming experience
