  1. I have no idea how this is implemented in Age of Mythology. Could you explain it?
  2. You are at the end of a intense battle and the enemy is almost defeated, but there is still a fisher boat, a worker or trader which you cannot find. You control almost the entire map, but you still cannot find this last unit. You spend the next 5-10 minutes searching it. I have been several times in this frustrating situation. Searching for the last enemy unit. And I wished every single time the position of this last unit would be revealed on the mini map. For example, by putting a red circle around the unit and show the position for a few seconds in the mini map.
  3. I really miss that feature for larger units of archers, especially for chariots. The direction is, even for the current state of the game, important for me.
  4. Hello, why are you still use SVN for the development and not git? Trac does support Git: https://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracGit
  5. I would like to be able to adjust the orientation of units. For example, I let a bunch of archers march on a hill, but I can not tell them in which direction they should look. In Praetorians, an older PC game, it was possible to keep the right mouse button pressed and draw a yellow arrow to the direction you wanted to let your troops look. In my archer example this would work like the following: I select my archers, then I would press the right button to let them walk to the hill. However, I keep the right mouse button pressed and draw an arrow in the direction my archer should look. This would be really helpful for units which are in a formation. In Praetorians most units have been always in formation.

    Bear

I know, however it is something which really bugs me all the time I see it. So, I hope one artist has sympathy with my situation and fixes that animation. The other problem is, that the bear is far too weak. A bear is more harmless and easier to kill than a boar. I think that can be easily fixed.

    Bear

The bear is the second largest predator. However, the bear is to easy to kill and if you kill him you will see that the dying animation is missing. In addition the bear does not have a "being dead" picture, which is confusing, since the bear is just staying around, but not moving. Furthermore it would be really nice to see a standing bear when he fights with food soldier. I would be happy to see a well animated bear in the game, maybe some of the artist are interested to create one :-)
  8. I played 0 a.d. first on Windows for a long time and than after that on Linux on the same machine. 0 a.d. has performance issues with 6-8 AI players in Windows, if a map has a lot of water and trees. However, on Linux the situation is more worse. First of all 0 a.d. and the Nouveau driver did not work well together. The game was lacking a lot. When I tried to build fields and other buildings I saw black borders. I think the texture was not properly loaded. After trying to play Noveau I just use the integrated Intel graphics card. Which works much better. But I still have some performance problems. It does not run as smooth as under Windows. One AI player is enough and the game sometimes "lacks". I use an Archlinux derivative with 0 a.d. Archlinux is a rolling release distribution with up-to-date software and kernels. If there is anything I can do to improve the Linux gaming experience let me know.
