  1. OK. I list up them. You can break line after characters below: , ) ] } 、 〕 〉 》 」 』 】 〙 〗 〟 ’ ” ⦆ » ‐ ゠ – 〜 ? ! ‼ ⁇ ⁈ ⁉ ・ : ; 。 . Don't foget last one, U+3000 ideographic space. and you can break line before characters below: ( [ { 〔 〈 《 「 『 【 〘 〖 〝 ‘ “ ⦅ « ヽ ヾ ー ァ ィ ゥ ェ ォ ッ ャ ュ ョ ヮ ヵ ヶ ぁ ぃ ぅ ぇ ぉ っ ゃ ゅ ょ ゎ ゕ ゖ ㇰ ㇱ ㇳ ㇲ ㇳ ㇴ ㇵ ㇶ ㇷ ㇸ ㇹ ㇺ ㇻ ㇼ ㇽ ㇾ ㇿ 々 〻 If you are intersted in formatting Japanese text, the following might be useful. http://www.w3.org/TR/jlreq/
  2. My point is different. The problem is not narrow UI space. In Japanese, single word can be much longer than European language. For example, the translation of "Marcus Claudius Marcellus" is "マルクス・クラウディウス・マルケッルス", and this is treated as single word although the original contains 3 words. We need breaking line in the middle of word if the word is too much long.
  3. A translation file "longword.public.po" contains as follows: #: gui/pregame/mainmenu.xml:498msgid "Alpha XVI: Patañjali"msgstr "123456789012345678901234567890Alpha XVI: Patañjali"And you select this language from main menu, The result is:
  4. Yes, I use Wikipedia and it is useful if the word is found in it. And thank you for your advices for the Britons and the Gauls, I'll try them. Then I have got my problems clearer: 1. In which language is this word written? 2. Is this word transliterated or latinized or hellenized? 3. Are there any phonetic guide for the appropriate language? Q1 and Q2 are not so difficult generally, but Q3 gives me the headache in case of minor ancient languages, those except Latin, Greek and Sanskrit.
  5. I have an idea for correcting the game texts. I think using the translation platform(https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/0ad/language/en/) is easy to use. Many translators have noticed the problems and they have already pointed out by comments. All you have to do is just sign in and search one and edit, comment for, or suggest for it.
  6. I use it sometimes, but the site is designed for modern languages.
  7. Dear members. I am a member of the Japanese translation team. I need some help for translating faction-specific names.I think that "specific name"s on the design document(http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Design_Document) should not be translated, because they seem to be used with the generic names that have same meanings. Although I don't want to translate them, I still want to know the pronunciation of them. Because in Japanese orthography, foreign words should be copied by the pronunciations and then be written by our non-alphabet characters. I started to put "Specific" tags on such strings for anyone who can help me. How do I pronunce words of various languages? I guess Latin style for western civs and Greek style for eastern, but is that all?
