DSL from centurytel We were actually really lucky to get it because we live out in the country.

I was wondering what everyone is interested in becoming, or what you already do.
I am going to become an x-ray technician. I am on a waiting list, and should get in next fall.

Age of Kings or the Conquerers expansion.
It would be neat if we could have the winning team win some currency.

Completly. I'll try to look around for myself from now on.

Sorry for snapping back at you. I do most of my work the same way. Most of the pictures I draw are on the corner of a piece of scratch paper.

don't feel bad if you don't pass, I failed twice once for supposed rolling stops
once for not checking my blind spots enough

Very good post, I'll give you some currency for that one.

It's pretty hard to make a personal website with a community unless it is much more than a personal website.
if you do artwork, that might attract people.
or if you make movies or music, basicly anything that would attract people's interests. Articles on a particular subject.

Hey Swellick,
I was home schooled all the way through to graduation.
Then I went to college and it was so easy most of the time that I would procrastinate. Making a list of what I need to get done really helps.
I have a really bad short term memory so I will forget I even made a list sometimes so that doesn't really help all of the time.

Murchad, son of Brian, wielded two swords, one in his right hand and one in his left: he had equal power in striking. Enraged by the Viking slaughter of his fellow Dal Cais, Murchad rushed at the Danes like a furious ox. He made a hero's breach in the enemy. Fifty foreigners fell to his right hand; fifty foreigners fell to his left hand. One blow was sufficient to kill them. Neither shield nor mail stood up to his blades.

I don't really remember, it was when TLA was started. well it wasn't called that yet I don't think. I was probably searching for Middle Earth computer games.
-
Yeah, but the movie's not out yet I can't wait until Nov. too. I love watching all the behind the scenes and am looking forward to the extra footage

I think it would be neat if we had some sort of game system to use the currency on. For example a card game like poker. dirrectly linked to the forum and you could gamble away your money. I've never been to a real casino or betted real money but I think that would be fun.
And we could have contests with entry fees.
Drawing contests, Story contest.
But ultimately it comes down to what can you do with the currency. (i agree that is the best term)
I didn't see it mentioned but I don't think anyone should ever start with any currency otherwise people could register several times and donate them to one account.
-
Hey quack, I do read in them, but only in the TLA section. Why can't you just answer a simple question.

Need to update my pc. still on a p2 400mhz with windows 98

What in the world is the currency for?

Does anyone have suggestions for what race I should do fanart/concept art for?
-
By the way, this pictures was not draw as a Middle Earth drawing.
It is a viking warrior. I only put it here to see of the link worked from Lycos.
But the armor of Tolkien was influenced heavily from this era so it would work as concept art.
Also BolideLich, you're pretty rude. You didn't say one nice thing about it.
Most of your comments were ignorant anyway.
Yeah the chainmail is a little sloppy, but the coif over the face is very authentic.
and the shadows under the nose if fine.
I'll ignore the comment about originality and making it beautiful and strong because you thought it was supposed to be Middle Earth inspired.

oh... it's a real quote from the Return of the King.
but it only means that the wild men are good scouts.
-
My brother said Northmen but he's not registered with the forum.

I agree that the elves should not be the gnombish christmas elves or the elves in the animated hobbit movie. Tolkien describes the elves are fair and the ears are not a special point of interest. I think if they were long and pointed they would be
mentioned. I say we go with PJ ears.
here's a trivial quote I thought would bring some humor to the discussion:
Wild men have long ears and long eyes; know all paths. -
Does this work?
-
It would be nice if there was a temporary file storage on the server for maybe a week so we could show our work and if adam liked it he could put it in the concept art section. Could anything like that be put into place?
