  1. Murchad, son of Brian, wielded two swords, one in his right hand and one in his left: he had equal power in striking. Enraged by the Viking slaughter of his fellow Dal Cais, Murchad rushed at the Danes like a furious ox. He made a hero's breach in the enemy. Fifty foreigners fell to his right hand; fifty foreigners fell to his left hand. One blow was sufficient to kill them. Neither shield nor mail stood up to his blades.
  2. I think it would be neat if we had some sort of game system to use the currency on. For example a card game like poker. dirrectly linked to the forum and you could gamble away your money. I've never been to a real casino or betted real money but I think that would be fun.

And we could have contests with entry fees.

    Drawing contests, Story contest.

But ultimately it comes down to what can you do with the currency. (i agree that is the best term)

I didn't see it mentioned but I don't think anyone should ever start with any currency otherwise people could register several times and donate them to one account.

  3. By the way, this pictures was not draw as a Middle Earth drawing.

It is a viking warrior. I only put it here to see of the link worked from Lycos.

But the armor of Tolkien was influenced heavily from this era so it would work as concept art.

Also BolideLich, you're pretty rude. You didn't say one nice thing about it.

Most of your comments were ignorant anyway.

Yeah the chainmail is a little sloppy, but the coif over the face is very authentic.

and the shadows under the nose if fine.

I'll ignore the comment about originality and making it beautiful and strong because you thought it was supposed to be Middle Earth inspired.

  4. I agree that the elves should not be the gnombish christmas elves or the elves in the animated hobbit movie. Tolkien describes the elves are fair and the ears are not a special point of interest. I think if they were long and pointed they would be

mentioned. I say we go with PJ ears.

here's a trivial quote I thought would bring some humor to the discussion:

Wild men have long ears and long eyes; know all paths.
