SUD
Hey Wijit I was wondering if you need some sketches, like in the old times Would you need anything or are you guys already covered up with enough sketch drawers? If you need tell me Sadly my old scanner is not compatible with winXP so I would have to use it with the old computer, which I will be fixing this week and could scan stuff. Wijitmaker
Sud, that would be great! I need to go back and confront those celtic buildings again. We changed/cut allot of buildings and changed some functions. So I think that there might be a need to change their visual look. Of course we have the old ones for reference. But, yeah, email me (not sure if I have your current adress) - I'll send you some stuff jason@0ad.wildfiregames.com
SUD
My current adress is the one of Msn messenger Btw, is there any picture for building layouts like that old one with squares and cilinders? you know
Acumen
Yeah, I think it might be a good idea to decide on a standard format for the basic geometric shapes of buildings again, as SUD suggested. So that the player intuitively knows which buildings are of the same class.
Mythos_Ruler
I think all towers should be long and skinny. All temples should be a rectangle. All civ centres should be square! Yeah! hehe
Quacker
IMO, 0AD's towers should be taller in proportion to units than AoK/M, maybe 5 times the unit's height.
Math_the_great
IMO, 0AD's towers should be taller in proportion to units than AoK/M, maybe 5 times the unit's heightYes you are right the proportions need to be realistic in this game.... Each building should be 5 times the unit's height
SUD
Jason I got your last email, I will start something as soon as I can.One comment about the military centre, yeah I think they are too much buildings combined in one . AOK archery range, barracks, stables, siege workshop and blacksmith vs one building for all? well if you want it that way... I will do
Wijitmaker
Yeah it kind of odd isn't, but thats how the designers want it For the celts, because they aren't a big siege civ (only have the ram infact) then I don't think you even have to highlight that in the structure. Acumen
Well, actually it used to just be an all-in-one Siege Workshop and Blacksmith, but then we were told to move the infantry and cavalry production into it too. "It's kind of odd isn't it, but that's how the Project Leader wants it."
