I noticed you were searching for a Social Media Manager. Facebook announcement here:

Are you still looking for someone ? Because I think you really need someone to actively work on your social media promotion..

Hense my posts:
- here (about making social media icons more visible),

- and this one (about allowing players to upload replays on GameReplays.org),

- and this one (about moving the bug tracker to Github, a much more used and efficiant bug tracker). Just being stared a lot could make you reach the top on the list of games engines)

 

I am so surprised that you don't have more players, more contributors (devs, artists, testers...).

 

Also, posting news about development updates on these Facebook groups wouldn't hurt making 0AD more known:

So why didn't you apply in that thread (https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22476-open-position-social-media-manager/, probably not visible to people not part of the team)?

We are currently evaluating one candidate, at least that's what I deduced from reading some posts. Not that that would prevent doing the same for other candidates (or possibly sharing the responsibility), though you might want some other opinions on that.

Regarding your github issues post, and given that I tried replying to that twice (screw those forums) you are missing https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/WikiFormatting and that Github uses pagination (and you not specifying a smaller value for trac), trac having custom fields and keywords ("tags"), and switching to be mostly an issue of trading some drawbacks against others. And now I do sort of hope that the forum doesn't eat this reply, since I'm not going to write something close to this again.

Hi Leper.

Indeed, it seems I couldn't find the thread you linked (above) because it is hidden for normal users. 
 

About Github: Sorry if I showed a certain insistence, I guess I have been stubborn about that one, I won't add more arguments in the related thread (nor here, it would be off topic), I just think Github is a nice choice. btw, it also features tags (they are called "labels" on Github).
