getting username while in the addChatMessage() function

Can anyone tell me the best way to get the username of the local user
while in the addChatMessage() function of messages.js and gamesetup.js?

/binaries/data/mods/public/gui/session/messages.js

/binaries/data/mods/public/gui/gamesetup/gamesetup.js
