Beta, which is the second letter of the Greek alphabet, is related to the testing phase of the game, the moment when the game is already developed, but still needs some testing to correct most of the bugs in the game.0 A.D. is currently under development (12th Alpha version). And the trac wiki i talk about is, roughly speaking, a list where the developers keep track of the features of the game, including those already done.
