CarsontheSage
When I've tried to install Alpha 10, and now Alpha 11, I get and error that says "error opening file for writing" and options to abort, ignore, the file, or retry. It does it for basically all the files.Does anyone know what's wrong?
Pureon
Could you give us some details about your system and which download you are attempting to install?
CarsontheSage
I'm using Windows 7 with a AMD Athlon II Dual-core M320 2.10 GHz processor with 4gb of RAM.Alpha's 9 and older installed and ran fine. It's only the most recent two that have had problems.
Gen.Kenobi
It seens to be an administrator issue. See if you have the admin rights to install the game, or simply run the .exe as administrator. Then you'll get permission to open the file to written. If that doesn't work, maybe the file you got is corrupted, something might have happened with your download, so try re-downloading the game.If that doesn't work, try to uninstall Alpha 9. (Not sure why Just to clean up some of your disk space, anyways. )

Gen.Kenobi
What exactly worked? It's good for us to have references when problems like this arrive again with other people
Antonio.G
I had the same problem! I just uninstalled and looked for any residual game. Especially I think a folder in AppData was what caused the problem. Look in your system for the game folders, because the one I found in AppData I had a file called pyrogenesis.exe which when I checked the task manager, was active. Just in case, I also ran the installer as administrator. After all that, it worked.
