Tutle
No, this is not a proposal to put recycling businesses in 0 A.D. What I referring to is recycling one's destroyed buildings. Basically, for destroying your own building you get half of the resources you paid for it. The other half is assumed to be destroyed in the demolition.Reason: Sometimes you misplace a building by accident due to mouse lag, or you simply want to improve you're 2nd base that is closer to the enemy.Less work: Destruction automatically adds it to the players' resources.work: players have to press on a different key combination (like crtl+M1) to order their workers to recycle a building.Cool thing about this is that females can be more supportive than just getting resources and repairing, and deal with less risks too. Ykkrosh
Sometimes you misplace a building by accident due to mouse lagIf you destroy a building while it's still a foundation (e.g. you placed it a few seconds ago then changed your mind, or an enemy destroyed it before your workers reached it), you currently get refunded up to the full cost of the building (proportional to progress remaining - if it's reached 25% construction progress then you get 75% of the cost back, etc), so that particular case is already handled. Patricius
Should get something back from demolished buildings. One of the reasons for the ruins of Rome is that so much was fed into lime kilns with the rest reused in churches and houses.
Kazu Kun
Although I can see how this would be wanted, and it is a decent idea, but it wouldn't work simply because it would/could be used in a way to cheat..Think of it this way, you can destroy you building and get resources back AS the opponent is destroying the building? What then, why should you get resources for a building that the enemy has razed?Just throwing that out there, Constructive criticism helps

When it comes to recycle buildings, we can reach the mark of 50% of the materials and even more. The russians even used this "cheating" twice (once against Napoleon Bonaparte's Soldiers and once against Adolf Hittler's troops), destroying the villages the enemies would conquer so that the troops die out of freezing in that glacial russian winter. And about the fitting of this feature into games, some even handle the problem by only letting the player recycle one building at a time (and it may take a while) and only while out of combat. Imo the conditions to be out of combat and the time it takes to recycle are fair, but i don't like the fact that only one can be recycled at a time. Kazu Kun
That does sound kind of fair, and to get the sources, you would have to sick a villager on it or something of that sort.
