Deicide4u
Sharing this chaos just to let you guys know that the AI actually works, although it's a bit slow to train champions. I suck, I know that I like how he completely ignored siege weapons, lol. Probably thinking that elephants are still good enough for siege. Maybe that can be adjusted? 1v1vsPers.zip Edited April 30 by Deicide4u

If you can't afford production from 2 stables simultaneously, then don't make 2 stables. You could have invested the wood and stone into other things, for example bring more women back from woodline to farming. This will give you balanced eco. 3. After you get your hands on cav, keep rushing with them or harassing the enemy anywhere you can. If they are hurt, bring them back to CC or temple to heal. Archer cavs sitting there doing nothing = waste of time and res. If you really can't find weaknesses, garrison them back into stables and they get xp trickle. 4. A huge crowd of idle infantry... you could have used them to gather resources, build and you would be in the position to push much earlier. 5. Floating 10K wood... spend them early! 6. If you want to turtle, set up palisade, walls, towers then delete citizens and replace with champions.

Maybe I shouldn't have wasted resources on them, as most of them died defending the first push. 12 minutes ago, Seleucids said: Floating 10K wood... spend them early! Definitely could have made a bunch of farms and just assign the females from the woodline. Also, could have made a Dock and some fishing ships. Maybe I was collecting it for the next game? 14 minutes ago, Seleucids said: If you want to turtle, set up palisade, walls, towers then delete citizens and replace with champions. Yeah, I'm a turtle of sorts. Watching the replay, I laughed at how late I got my City Phase and Fortress. Also, I could have made more Military Colonies. Thank you for the tips. I had fun in this game.
Deicide4u
A game of myself as Romans versus the Medium AI playing as the Han dynasty. Noticeable improvement, I'd say. The game still lasted for too long since I wanted to give the AI time to build up and also have some fun tearing down his towns. He really explodes in the City phase. I had a few issues, mainly wasted too many cavalry during the attack. Forgot about the fishing ships. Slow start. The rest was fine, I think. As soon as you get the champions and an economy to support them, investing in CS is a waste of resources IMHO. No Marian Reforms this time. Didn't really need it. 1v1RomeVHan.zip Edited April 30 by Deicide4u
Deicide4u
One of the games used to test the Community Mod changes. Please note that this replay requires that you have the Community Mod enabled. I've tried out Persian cavalry. They did well, it's just that the AI seemed a bit too easy this time. PersVSPtolo.zip
Deicide4u Posted Saturday at 10:28 Author Report Share Posted Saturday at 10:28 (edited) Here's one vanilla replay, Seleucids vs Romans. Also a stress test for the Seleucid Cataphract. How did they fare against the Roman Fortresses? Spoiler I don't think I lost even one. Romans didn't make a single champion, even though I let them develop. That's strange. EDIT: Playing even on "Conquest Structures" is just a waste of time, as the AI always sneaks a foundation somewhere random. My advice? Just play "Conquest Civic Centers". Deicide4u
Here's one TG. It's myself as Sparta and one Seleucid AI vs 2 AIs, Kush and Carthage. Community mod is required. It was pretty easy, and my ally trained only 2 champions. Yet, he demanded any excess res I had. I was basically bankrolling him the entire game. Slow and relaxed game. EDIT: Stable first was an unintended mistake, but I decided not to cancel it. Sparta_SeleTG_CM.zip Edited 16 hours ago by Deicide4u
