Xerxes I, King of Kings, stands on the brink of vengeance as his vast Persian Empire marches toward the Greeks. The war was ignited when the Greeks, in their hubris, desecrated the sacred tree of Lydia, a symbol of the bond between Persia and Lydia. This act of sacrilege fueled the wrath of Darius, Xerxes' father, and now it is Xerxes' turn alongside Artemisia II of Caria and Mardonius (nephew of Darius I) to avenge it. At Thermopylae, the Greek forces, led by King Leonidas of Sparta and Themistocles of Athens, prepare for their final stand. Despite their bravery, they face the overwhelming might of Persia, with Xerxes’ relentless pursuit of retribution driving him forward. The fate of Greece rests on this clash of wills, as Xerxes seeks to crush the pride of the Greeks and assert his empire's dominance.
