in simpler words, it's still under development. Don't worry, everyone who has learned of 0 A.D. had posted a topic or reported in maitnence that they can't find it, even I asked were it was. But if you look at the top middle part it says "Game still under development". I really think it should be in a little bigger letters, I remember vagely remember seeing a joke were it was HUGE on the front page.

Public Alphas/betas etc will come if and when we think that it's valuable to the development of 0 A.D. In other words we will not release an alpha/beta if we think that it would take more time to answer questions about how everything works than the development would benefit from bug reports and testing.
