  1. We do have alot of fundamentalist christians near where I live, and yes some of them do take Genesis literally but I think it is a gross mischarachterization to call America a country of Chhristian fundamentalists. Where I used to live, Pittsburgh, most people are liberal Catholic.

  2. I had heard several lines of thought like this and wanted to see how everyone here would react.I posted this only to provoke a good discusion. Please don't think I'm some neo-nazi! :) I'm not, but I think that something like I suggested could happen. All it takes is for some major catastrophy and people I think would put there trust in a far-right group.

  3. It is a simple fact that Europe is dying. Birth rates for every single country in Europe (except for Albainia, a Muslim country) are below replacement levels. Last year in Russia ther were more abortions than births. With more and more Muslims who are unwilling to be Westernized moving into Europe could we see a Muslim Europe by the end of the century? If Muslims in Europe are becoming so bold as to kill someone who disagrees with them in broad daylight (think Theo van Gogh) what will keep secular Europe from bcoming Muslim in Culture and Religion? I think France has tried to address this problem by banning head scarves in public schools, but i don't think it is enough. I think European countries could use an old Ottoman method for this problem. Make it so that every Muslim family has to give up their first-born son to millitary service at birth. Then train these kids to be super-patriotic fighting machines, fiercly loyal to the state. So what do you think?

Note: If this doesn't rile you up, you're probably dead. :)

  4. I don't know if other states do this, but in KY you get so much money towards college for A's and B's and good act/sat test scores. It's called KHEES money or something like that. However well your grades are in school you get that much money each year in college. But there's one catch-you have to stay in state and go to uk or uofl or some other public school. I guess I've got enough money now to do my undergraduate work in state, the go someplace out of state for my master and doctorate.

  5. One of my friends (who is in Calculus), sits around and thinks up math problems. He gave this to his calculus teacher and she couldn't solve it so she gave it to our Pre-Cal teacher and she couldn't solve it either. So she gave it to us! (as if we could solve it!) Anyway he said my answer was right (1/4), but refused to show me the work.

  6. My Pre-Calculus teacher gave us the following problem as a challenge:

    x^2x=2x

the ^ is raised to the power of (just in case you didn't know)

I found that 1/4 was the answer through guess and check but I don't know how to work it! I'm sure it's all just algebra, but I haven't got a clue. Any help would be appriciated.

    Thanks :)

  7. I have a 3.55. Its odd because I get A's in challenging classes but in easy classes like Vocational Studies (a life skills class) I get B's. The only C I've every gotten was in AP Chemistry. We went though all of Siberberg's Chemistry in half a year! My school is on the block schedualling system so our cllas are 1/2 half an hour each.
