The dinamic shadows already give to the game a awesome look
Regarding a Mythilogical Mod for 0AD, I think it that if made, it should be diferent than the AOM God Worshiping and Myth units sistem, it should be something more epic.

No, 0AD is not AOM secuel in any sense, what Bob was trying to say is that this game will be far better than the games in the "Age of" series. Of course better graphics, gameplay, and modding posibilities.
Something interesting, is that since 0AD will be open source and highly moddable, if someone wants, the engine can be use to make another mythology based game (and I think there are some members already planing that)

I dont know if this has been said before, but there should be a way to pass info betwen scenarios, like if one map you end with only 10 hoplites, you can start the next one with the same amount. Keeping cities will also be nice

That's great, the arquitecture is very diferent from the other cultures, I think that we can fix the walls look by giving them a "dirtier" texture.

Thats not the point, the main advantage a horse gives in battle is to be able to charge against the enemy, because that single moment can leave a bunch of soldiers out of the battle, but once surrounded, the horse can be easely wound, becoming a burden, the best option after the charge is keep moving so the infantry cannot sorround you.
But in closed formations, of heavy armored spearmans, the charge doesnt work since the first contact that the horse have, is with the spear, and sometimes the horse can refuse to advance. I still dont see why would the hoplites be weak against cavalry. Has history show, the best way to face a static defensive formation, is with mobile ranged units.

The phalanx was weak against cavalry?, I never tough that, I think that every closed formation of spearmans will be good against cavalry

Im aware of the diference. However those sprites that you show are taken from a 3D animation correct?, so in that way I could still be helpfull.
Do you have a site?, so I can see more of your game, and perhaps give you a example more similar to what you are doing.

Im currently planing a Mexican Indepence/Revolution Mod for AOM. The Indepence War would be in the same period like a Napoleonic era, and the Revolution starts on 1910 and goes all the way until 1930's. Several important battles happen on those periods and also important characters of the mexican history participate, my favorites being Jose Maria Morelos, Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata.
Since Im working over new models, If Michael finally accepts me on Wildfire i could make this mod over the 0AD game engine. Lots of persons in México would apreciate, and probably it can even be a educational tool.

hey, Im trying to improve my 3D modelling skills and I find really helpfull to watch other people's work, do any of you know of a site where I could find good examples of 3D design and tutorials for 3DS Max? I will like something focus on game design

I check 0AD site like twice every week, but i check the forums daily.
I also check TLA site once every two or three months just for fun

Very good, altougth I have see that one before.
Now that I give it a second look, I really like how the sand besides the sea looks wet, very nice!, are you going to include a beatufy function like in AOM editor?

I only keep Windows because of AOM, but once 0AD is released I plan to delete it from my HD!

So, rather than low-level, largely invisible system changes, the work on Windows 7 has focused much more on the user experience.
Meaning that this is the same XP for wich you have already paid, but we are also charging for the pretty look that you can download for free
I see no reason to leave my linux system.

I dont know what brand the pc is but this is how Compaq/HP pc's work...
Every monitor has his own resident/default resolution, wich your pc video card may not support, the refresh rate thing is also posible, but very unlikely since most equipments since 10 years ago are compatible. The beep is a code telling you that the pc is starting, but cannot create a video output (tip: one large bip, video problem/ three short beps: memory issue/ one long and then two short beeps: Motherboard issue, most probably the fan is not working or the pc is too hot).
So I will sugest you to check the resolutions of the video card, and then check the documentation of the monitor, if they have a compatible resolution, you may want tio check the BIOS settings to set that has default. I hope this helps
