Awesome screenshot. But I noticed one thing - the shields of the dead guys seem to be half-buried, as if they were put there ages ago (without rust!), not fallen there just seconds ago.

Just on the subject of buildings, will all of them be garrisonable to a certain extent in the game? Having units hide in houses and jump out for an ambush-style assault would be pretty cool.

Okay, I think climbing a gate's more ridiculous than making the metal in it go on fire!

love it how they're all individual-looking.

Nice, although I think the chainmail on the horses is a bit too tight-looking. What units are there still to do?

Here's another idea I had:
How about if a stone building is destroyed, it is not just wiped off the face of the Earth, but it remains as ruins, though it becomes unusable until it is repaired. This would make for really cool battles in trying to reclaim ruined cities and stuff (Osgiliath!).

I've been playing Age of Kings for a long time now and I'm really annoyed how if buildings get damaged they always go up in flames. So how about, in 0 A.D. certain buildings can only be damaged by certain things. For example, stone structures simply cannot be damage by swords/spears/arrows etc., but can be damaged by siege weapons? Wooden buildings could be damaged by melee weapons, but fire is more effective? If you incorporate fire into the game, could it be continuous damage unless it is extinguished? Fire could also spread to nearby buildings if it is left burning for a long time, too.
This may sound like a bit of babble, but I've wanted to see something like this in an RTS game for ages.

I've seen in various places that tributing units to an ally is being considered, but what about just being able to be in the same formation as an ally? Just a thought

My favourite screenshot in all I have seen.
So you can create your own mountains? That's sooooooo much cooler than those same-looking mountains in AoK!

I once saw a TV documentary that showed Roman Armour, Weapons, Siege Equipment etc. and found something interesting. They used a replica of a Roman ballista against a watermelon and, not surprisingly, the bolt left a bunch of red-and-green pieces all over the place. When they tested the ballista against a replica of a Roman set of strip armor, however, the bolt only left a minor dent! The strips were sort of a "suspension system" that could withstand just about anything. Of course, the legionnaire would experience some bad bruising, but I think he would live through the ordeal because of his technological marvel which is his Roman strip armor!

I agree with some here, the ship does need to be a bit bigger (or perhaps you can have "big ship mode" in the game? lol). Even if the ships are going to be this size, there's too many oars. Overall, nice screenshot. Could we see another one with a naval battle in open sea?
