  1. If I change from x16 to x2 I get 27 fps instead of 25. Profiled a25 with high shadows due to shadow map issue there. profile.txt
  2. This fix: https://code.wildfiregames.com/rP26983 I'm quite sure at this commit performance was equal between a25 and a26. Unfortunately I don't have a dev setup anymore but can create it again soon to investigate. I have a25 installed and it runs about 2.5x faster with every settings than latest a26 (except with very high shadows at hi res that was buggy in a25). Didn't do any major driver or kernel updates meanwhile.profile.txt
  3. 0ad-logs.tar.gz I'm using OpenGL with GLSL. Something must have happened after I did the the shadow map logic fix. I remember having a very smooth 60-75 fps all maxed out but now it's only around 25.
  4. I tried that AppImage and I get much less fps (50 vs 125) there on every map compared to installed alpha 25 using identical graphics settings.
  5. Hi Stan, I have a25b-4 version of the game from official Manjaro repositories. I played with graphics settings and found out that it's very high shadow settings that kills fps after 4096px window width. Switching off GLSL or postprocessing didn't make game playable when shadows were very high. If I use just high shadows then I have over 100 fps with 5120x1440 but when switching to very high it decreases fps at least 20 times. Just before the slowdown GPU memory usage and GPU utilization are around 30-40% and PCIe bandwidth around 20%. When I resize window over the limit then these numbers are 40%, 100%, 95%.
  6. I tried 0ad on 5120x1440 monitor and saw unplayable < 5 fps. Since the same computer can run it with > 300 fps with 1920x1200 resolution using same maximum quality settings I started to investigate how there is so massive difference in fps between these two resolutions. I run it in window mode and started expanding the window. Around 4050x??? I still got very smooth 120 fps experience. Buf if I rezied width of the window a bit more to about 4100px then fps dropped suddenly from 120 to around 5. I wrote ??? as height since it doesn't matter if window has 1440px or 300px height. Problem seems to be related to single dimension not total pixels. I cannot say what is the exact point when the fps drops but looks like it's 4096. I can play other games such as CSGO, Dirt Rally 2.0 etc without lag using 5120x1440 resolution. GPU: Nvidia 3050Ti Mobile (515.48.07 driver) CPU: Intel i7 11800H OS: Manjaro Linux (5.15.48 kernel) WM: KDE Plasma (5.24.5)
  7. I think I had "Conquest" game type selected and some enemies hid very wisely. If I encounter similar situation again then I can use your tips for help. Thanks a lot everybody!
  8. About half of the time when I play random 1v1 match against AI the game doesn't end when there's nothing left to do anymore. I can't say how to reproduce this because it seem to happen randomly. I just spent 2h exploring entire map. Killed all enemies and destroyed all buildings and even fields. Is it a bug or I am still missing something? I'm still quite new 0ad player. Sometimes I win the game easily if I just destroy enemy civil centers even when there's still lots of other enemy buildings and people left. I'm using alpha 25 version of the game.
