  1. I've been following this game on and off for years, and just decided to try out the Alpha a few days ago. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with what I've seen so far. The only thing I can think of to suggest, is to make it so that the walls can connect to each other, but I'm sure this has been suggested before.

I look forward to the next release

  2. The Civs are different for each age. You can't progress through the ages like Age of Empires, once you pick an age you stay in it for the rest of the game.

I don't think the independents can be played, but I know you can ally yourselves with them and set up trade and the like.

This is all based on what I knew from a few years back, so it could have changed since then.

  3. Good to see the rock paper scissor system out the window.

And for pikes loosing to calvary, I'll assume this means they are hit from behind? If yes, it'll add so much to gameplay, with actual strategy in game.

  4. You scored as Hadrian.

You are the great emperor Hadrian. Not only great for the fact that he didn't mess something up, but he relentlessly administered the empire and set viable borders. Art, cultivation and wisdom mark your reign. The fact that you prefer the boys really helps with the wise handing over of the purple to only the most qualified.

    Hadrian 82%

    Augustus 71%

    Antoninus Pius 61%

    Marcus Aurelius 54%

    Domitian 50%

    Nerva 46%

    Claudius 43%

    Vespasian 39%

    Trajan 36%

    Nero 36%

    Tiberius 32%

    Vitellius 29%

    Commodus 14%

    Caligula 0%

  5. I think I broke my big toe once, it look a little different from the other one. I was playing handball and had to run to the wall, I slipped a few feet in front of it and my foot went straight into the brick wall.

I'm always hurting myself, but never anything too serious. Elbows and wrists always hurt from a fighting class I go to (BJJ, wrestling, boxing, and other various things) Knees constantly bruised from it too.

And I did catch and accidental head but right under the chin while boxing. The persons head hit my jaw hard enough to make both ears pop, and make my whole jaw lopsided for a few days.

Loads of other stuff like that, but again, nothing serious.

  6. Simple, don't let the Orcs get behind you. When two armies clash, theres a general front line, with some intermingling of troops, and considering elves are structured, I'd imagine they'd be in some sort of formation, while orcs are just a rabble of troops. So the front would have less intermingling.

I imagine that it would be very hard to actually break the front line as an orc and kill someone from behind when that person is surrounded by friendly troops.

  7. I like the idea of making every civ playable, I remember being a little disappointed by the fact that I couldn't play as Isengard or Harad.

There should still be a distinction between minor and major civs though, since people new to the game will think "cool, I can play as the hobbits" and then get crushed by a major civ.

  8. I could apply as a 3d modeler, but I'm not sure about it. Not that I wouldn't want to join, it's that I seem to be all over the place with what I'm doing.

First I'm trying to make my own game, then I become mod leader of a WW1 mod for Red Orchestra, then I make a model for the For Honor and Glory mod. The first project fell apart...twice, the second one doesn't seem to be going anywhere at the moment, and the third I just felt like helping out and making a model.

I do like the stability of this project though, considering it's been around for a few years now. I'm just afraid that I'll lose interest, but seeing as you guys will still be around even if I lose interest, I think it would keep me on board. (considering I even do get on the team)

Enough rambling, I have a few things to think about. I'll more than likely send in an application sometime soon.

  9. May I ask how did you mean this?

    You don't like my model?

I have made another models of horse.

One with trappings and one with the gothic mail.

I also started to create horseman for them.

Where should I upload them together with unwrapped texture? It has size about 40 kB.

Nice Voynik. How many faces does it have? Keep them low. Model of horse I've made has below 300.

What I meant by "I cant texture for crap," is that I'm horrible at texturing, has nothing to do with your model.

I've been away for a few days so I haven't got anything else done on the Voynik yet, but I should finish it today.

How do you check the amount of faces for a model? I've never been able to figure this one out.
