  1. Yeah there are what you would call unique units. I think we are actually calling them 'super' units. But they will have unique traits that are only availible to those type of units.

    For example... the Persians have:

Immortal - which is a good lightly armored unit with strong attack

Indian War Elephant - Slow moving unit with lots of hitpoints... little skimmishers on the back throwing spears.

Each civ will have 2-3 super units.

  2. What do you think about the future? I don't mean you should expose your futuristic sci-fi imagination, but rather what you think current society is evolving to. Do you think our Western ignorance and lazyness means the end of a great civilization or do you rather think modern technologies will save the world? Will the world become more honest for any human being, and eventually come to global peace, or will the current situation continue or even escalate?

    So, go aheadĀ

The future is what you make of it :) How is that for being phylisphical?

I do think that Western Civ's lazyness and the desire for the rest of the world to be 'king of the hill' will have a bad effect on this world. I think of it almost as what happened to Rome. Each civilization has power curve. There is a name for it, but I forget... goes something like: Bondage, Rebelion, Indepenance, Prosperity, Glutany... then back to Bondage. I think the typical time period for the curve is about 200 years.

More technology will ever save mankind. If anything it will make us destroy ourselves faster. 2000 years ago it took empires to do great destruction on fellow humans, 200 years ago it took nations, 50 years ago it took a score of people... and soon it will only take 1 person to cause mass destruction. How can you combat that one rougue individual @#$%-bent on destruction? You can't.

Sorry if I sound depressing... but there is only one answer to solve the worlds problems. And He is comming.

  3. Actually there are a few advantages and disadvantages for roads, they can lead you to the enemies main bases. Roads could also be used as a bonus when it comes to military.

    ooooh the stratagy ;)

maybe you could make it so walking on roads could also increase the speed of military units walking on them?

yeah we hope to do this

KINGSPORT - A lesson on the origin of the universe led to the suspension of an eighth-grade pupil who failed to follow an order to stop discussing religion with her teacher.

"This is a great little girl, and I hate that she got involved in this ... and she doesn't understand how this could be offensive," said William Cline, principal of Colonial Heights Middle School.

The situation started with a discussion of the big-bang theory, which says the universe originated billions of years ago in an explosion of a single, superdense atom.

Pupils brought up Christian beliefs about the creation, and the teacher told them she couldn't lead a religious discussion, Cline said.

That led to a "rumor mill" regarding the teacher's religious beliefs that was harmful to the teacher and disrupted learning, Cline said.

The pupil was suspended last week after encouraging another pupil to put a religious pamphlet on the teacher's desk.

"(The teacher) felt like it was a form of harassment," Cline said.

Pupils are welcome to pass out pamphlets in school as long they are not disruptive or offensive, said John O'Dell, school superintendent in Sullivan County.

  5. Well how about this, instead of your borders expanding automatically by some statistical calcualation.. what if you had 'territorries' with a TC on it. Then you advanced your 'borders' by taking over these territories on the map?

Maybe this is what RON's "Conquer the World" is like? Not sure, I've only played the multiplayer.
