will there be a way to control which way the units face? I always hated trying to get my army of paladins in AOE to be both grouped in a line formation, and to have the line facing a ceriain direction.

I personally dislike the idea of "routing", mainly because I like to be in control of my units. What I meant was more of a semi-aesthetical "cowering", in which the soldiers shield their faces in a defensive manner, and maybe withdraw a few steps. Their auto-attack might also turn off, so the player would have to make them attack their opponents.
Of course, this would only happen to weaker units when pitted against either much stronger enemies (i.e. elephants, cavalry, elite charging units), or a vast number of them.
It might take a lot of work, but it would look amazing.

first time posting, the picture is amazing...
will units have emotion, i.e. Battle for Middle Earth? I would love to see them cower at enemy formations, even if it has no effect on actual gameplay
