  1. Exactly My example above was just a photomanipulation and not an actual mesh
  2. I believe those are Roman period ruins, it would be nice to have those as eyecandy Individual pieces like these, so that you can create a ruins from scratch Arches/Doorway ruins would also be nice
  3. I also want this, even if it is just a mod, something that appears alongside the generic and specific names. The names will be chosen randomly, like how AI names are chosen. It will be hard to research ancient names though..
  4. IIRC, @Trinketos handles the Mesoamerican mod project Here's a link to his Mesoamerican building development topic
  5. The mod was featured in the headlines section of the ModDB homepage for this week They even posted the mod on their Facebook page Hoping that the recent Viking pop culture craze can bring more people closer to 0AD
  6. Edit: Another source on Anglo-Saxon clergy http://regia.org/research/church/church4.htm I've found this one before, I'll try create a texture based on the monk illustrated below I've got a new simpler variant of the clergy texture, a plain long dress
  7. Declaring war on a marine god and stabbing the water at the beach, just Roman things... Romanes eunt domus - Brian of Nazareth
  8. Thanks, It will be very helpful if you can suggest or create a nice design document for the 8th-9th century Byzantines Here's a sample of the Anglo-Saxon design document Once you've made one, you can post your suggestion on the main Byzantine faction topic. But IMO, the Byzantines won't be a priority since most of the current factions aren't even finished (and the Umayyads too)
  9. @Andrettin Yes, I saw them, I'll also add those as texture variants too The reason I created the ones above first was because, those textures are based on a primary source from that period, the Stuttgart Psalter
  10. Frankish Horsemen - Old body mesh The clothes are based on Stuttgart Psalter depictions
  11. Ah, I misunderstood it, I'm sorry XD I still don't quite get it, haha, if you are talking about the thick cloth armor and the shirt not matching, the shirt material is made of linen while the cloth armor is made of heavily stitched wool But if it is about the white tunic on the clothing edges not matching, I still haven't reworked it, XD and that white cloth is supposed to be a linen undertunic, elaborate clothing details are going to be added on the top (colored) tunics.
  12. Those were done recently, days after the Alpha 20 release I'm planning to use a red-yellow color scheme for the Anglo-Saxons padded cloths (Most of the textures in our current source file are now using multiply layers and clipping properties, so it is now very easy to recolor and tweak things, unlike the old source file)
  13. Some of the Frankish shield patterns are based on Merovingian-Carolingian artifacts Dorestad brooch http://www.rmo.nl/english/collection/highlights/netherlands-collections/dorestad-brooch Central part of the brooch Carolingian Ivory Plaque https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolingian_art#/media/File:Mus%C3%A9e_Picardie_M%C3%A9di%C3%A9val_01.jpg Motifs on the corner of the Plaque IX Monogram on Merovingian sarcophagus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cover_of_Merovingian_sarcophagus_Musee_de_Saint_Germain_en_Laye.jpg IX Monograms https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IX_monogram Utrecht Psalter depictions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utrecht_Psalter#/media/File:Utrecht_Ps63_%28cropped%29_%28cropped2%29.jpg Plain circular pattern on shield depictions (Posted this so that other projects outside 0AD can review our sources)
  14. @stanislas69 Which one? The tunics? I used object color for it, player color is also applicable
  15. Frankish infantry prototype
  16. That would do for Millennium AD mod, thanks! Also, I'm sorry it this request will take some of your time. We need the mesh for the Chinese, Arab and Norman units.
  17. A demo on how you can use the waterfalls actor files (water = water terrain)
  18. Wishlist: Additional body mesh (Tunic extending down to the middle of the lower leg) tunic_long only extends above the knee, maybe something like a middle ground between the healer mesh and the tunic_long mesh, would be nice to have. 20. Hi! You might want to try our mod Millennium AD We have an Anglo-Saxon faction (English folks) there.. We might also include the following British Isles factions in the future. Cymry (Post-Roman Britons, aka Welsh and Northern folks) Gaels (Irish) Somewhat offtopic, sorry.
  21. Light armor - Padded cloth (Thick wool)
  22. 2nd mesh (m_tunic_long), 4th mesh (m_pants_celt) I'll still add the ornaments, the white cloth underneath the shirt is a linen undertunic, ornaments will be placed on the wool tunic (blue one)
