  1. Right. I've now come to the conclusion that they definitely aren't OP.
  2. k No, you need to press fn- delete in game too.
  3. No, because I just select them and hit the skull button Thx will try It worked! Yay! Thank you Historic Bruno! Now I can make maps for real!
  4. Maybe when the game goes on Steam (which it will- dev told me) all modding could be done through Steam Workshop Oh, yeah sorry about the mention of the delete key. It's just really bugging me.
  5. Mauryans are op because they don't even have to stay in the same place when they reach city phase.
  6. If you did this you would: Get way more community feedback Get way more publicity. Have integrated map sharing (steam workshop) Have more people helping with the alpha. Please don't hate on my idea.
  7. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that the game will be moddable. But if you add this directly into the Atlas editor, there will be much more community input. Because otherwise, we gotta download a mod.
  8. The Mauryans can literally have a completely mobile civilisation. A worker elephant, a Kauntika (Bamboo Spearman) and Maurya can gather resources (Spearman), Deposit resources (Elephant) and train units (Maurya). Doesn't this seem OP to anyone else? I think that being able to train units from another mobile unit is a cool idea, but it should be balanced, by having 1.5x build time and resources for units, or something like that. BUT DON'T REMOVE WORKER ELEPHANTS! They are too awesome.
  9. Though if you made the unit editor I posted about under general ideas, you might (might?) be able to give units specialist abilities. If you implemented the whole cloaking thing as a special ability, people would just make their own.
  10. Look at the Roman/Carthaginian ship. The one that you need a shipyard to build.
  11. I think that this would be possible just via custom maps after the introduction of triggers.
  12. Lion, why don't Wildfire like, employ you or something? You have over 2,000 posts!
  13. Maybe a mac Atlas editor sub-protocol? Like register the Mac delete key as the same thing as the Windows delete key? Oh, and thanks for making the game available to the Mac. Best Mac game at the moment.
  14. And I can't reproduce the issue, but it happens once every 10 minutes or so. And I can select units just fine, but can't delete them. I think it's a mac keyboard issue. In Garry's Mod the mac delete key doesn't work properly either.
  15. I can select everything fine, I just can't delete it unless I use undo. Even then, I can't delete preset units from generating a map.
  16. Haha, but I have an issue with the Atlas editor. I can't use delete on my mac to delete selected units
  17. I think that this might already be a WIP, but just in case it isn't, I wanted to submit it. Please don't hate my ideas. A few ideas for map customisable objectives: Kill unit x Kill unit x with unit y Eliminate civilisation x Bring unit x to point y Get x number of unit y to point z Train x number of unit y Build building x over point y Build x number of building y Finish objective x within y number of seconds (time left displayed in top right hand corner of screen) Finish objectives x, y and z (twelve Labors of Hercules?) Custom notifications for finishing objectives would be good too. I think that this would tie in well with an idea for a unit editor I had under "basic discussion". Another idea I had was that fulfilling the above conditions might have effects other than winning the scenario like: Spawn unit x belonging to player y at point z Build building x belonging to player y at point z Give/remove (player in debt with negatives?) x number of resource y to/from player z Increase population of player x by number y Teleport x to point y (after fulfilling location based objective) Kill unit x (after fulfilling location based objective) Kill all units belonging to civilisation x Give to/remove from player x (custom?) upgrade y Fail scenario (i.e. if unit x dies) Sorry the post is so long. I fully understand TLDNR responses.
  18. In my opinion, this would be amazing. The ability to create custom units and buildings, with the models sounds and animations which are already in the game. Editable stats, auras and active abilities. Custom buildings which can be built and can produce custom units, with editable costs, loaded in for individual maps. This would open so many doors for custom maps.
  19. Assassins This is probably a stupid idea, and one to be ignored, but here goes anyway. Assassin Able to disguise self as basic troop for other player (ability brings up GUI) Can only stay disguised for a certain amount of time, but disguise recharges (I saw the energy bar) Huge damage while disguised, but attacking removes disguise Only available to certain factions (no idea which) Might (might) be able to make awesome custom stealth maps (a new thing) using this unit.
  20. Before I start, I am a Mac user. Please don't hate. We are people too. I think that the mapmaking should be a little easier to use. As I have been play AOE for quite a while (and was very happy to meet 0AD), I have experience making maps, but someone just entering the genre may have issues. I think that the editor should be configurable (rebind controls, see what controls are, etc.), and a little more like the AOE editor. I accept that the editor itself is not high priority, but simplified unit lists would also be appreciated e.g. Thrace Black Cloak instead of units/thrace_black_cloak. Another minor, but highly problematic (at least to me) problem (?): I noticed that after using the select tool to select units in the Atlas editor, the delete key wouldn't work to delete them, although it is supposed to. Whether this is a Mac keyboard issue, a general Mac issue, or a universal issue, I can't tell, but it is incredibly irritating, and will continue to be until this is fixed. Also, the editor sometimes decides to scroll infinitely in one direction. The seems to be no fix other than to exit and restart the map editor. Cliffs would be nice, and I see that they are on the in-development list (http://trac.wildfire...ayFeatureStatus) Except these issues, and a few others I can think of, I still love the game.
