  1. The eastern Factions will be more interesting, IF implemented perfectly.
  2. @geek377: I am sure I have not missed anything... but Chandragupta Maurya as a commoner spoke Prakrit... http://controversialhistory.blogspot.in/2007/09/myth-of-mother-sanskrit-theory.html Also at the peak of mauryan empire (look, Porus was not a Mauryan), King Ashoka delivered his messages in Prakrit because it was the most widely spoken and thus could reach larger crowd. Now think about it, castes other than Brahmins were not allowed to speak or practice Sanskit. As I belong to Brahmins' creed myself, I can tell you with my own experiances of History.....
  3. Actually speaking, the common language at that period was prakrit, not sanskrit.... Sanskrit was for the cream da la cream brahmins.. Try to find the prakrit words...... The sages were not only the kind of scientists, they were good millitary generals too (they taught the warriors, no childs play). I would also recommend to include a swordsman unit called 'yoddha'. These warriors were one of the first martial artists(It were the Indians who migrated buddhism and martial arts to other parts of the world!!) who fought withought any armour with short swords - Idential to the celtic frantics- though civilized and cheaply available.
  4. Indians boasted of the best war elephants - which were cheaply available in masses, and which alexander feared. Also Indians boasted of the earliest 'longbowmens' with a range said to be of the width of river ganges.
  5. Not everything happened in Europe.... Even I believe the other part of the old world had fiercer warriors and skills.... Even the technology was better accomplished... Though I know that there was no direct conflict between the eastern and western factions, its still worth!!!! I am very happy about inclusion of the Mauryans (even though Porus was NOT a Mauryan). Its a great step and I hope we come up with Chinese Dynasties, the Chola kingdoms, the Kalingas, South Eastern factions.....
  6. It may not... But great to hear that it will eventually be included. Indian faction 'can' have many interesting units and buildings...
  7. Hey, Recently discovered that wildfire have decided to introduce the Indian faction, so much exitement after returning from the tiring journey. India is my motherland and I am quite prou of it!!! So, I want to conform, what should be the name of the alpha xi... I vote for the name ''Kautilya''. Chanakya, also known as Kautilya was the mastermind behind the advent of the Mauryan Empire. He was, at first, teacher of Chandragupta, and then hi Prime Minister. He was the king maker...... So, how about it? Any other suggestions?
