  1. I also feel that dropping support for the fixed function pipeline is the better option here. Is there a region demographic of those that have older cards and have played 0 A.D? Also, is there a wiki page that briefly talks about the software design of the rendering logic in 0 A.D? Its pretty daunting to figure out.
  2. I'm missing something about the path finding logic. If the single cavalry unit is surrounded by red tiles (as shown in kenny's first post) and the short pathfinder uses the way points set by the long pathfinder, then how can the single cavalry unit even get out of the forest in the first place? wouldn't the long pathfinder not return any way points, since it can't find a valid path from near those trees to outside the forest? Or does the short pathfinder actually start moving the unit and hope to find a path when the long pathfinder doesn't return any way points?

  4. Ah thanks for the info mtkaz. Just to save others the search: /System/Library is the location for the core parts of the operating system needed by your Mac to function. /Library is the location for the parts of the operating system that apply to ALL users and applications running on the Mac like fonts and system wide application preferences. /Users//Library is the location for all the user specific parts of the operating system like preferences, favorites, recent items, etc.
  5. Any progress on fixing the audio problem in Mac? I use a Mac, so I can try to help in someway.
  6. Those of you who have tried it, does it work fine? Though I wouldn't need to type make CONFIG=Release clean the first time, I'm just a little apprehensive about it. Great work mtkaz! Is this going to be part of the svn repo soon?
  7. Hi Guys, I haven't been active in the forums since I registered, I hope to change that from now on So, I joined this group because I wanted to know what a real RTS game looks like in the code. I'm a graduate student working towards a computer science degree. I love playing/making games and am looking forward to contributing towards 0 A.D as a programmer. A big problem is that I like to work on my Mac and naturally, setting the build environment is the most challenging of all. I've finally got most of the dependencies and issues sorted out and ran the game. Time to peek into the code. Cheers, Raja
